Jazzy was lights out on the West Coast. ✨
No. 9 Florida State Softball (37–6) kept rolling on Wednesday as Jazzy Francik threw a complete-game gem to shut out Saint Mary’s, 3–0. It was FSU’s fifth straight win, and Francik’s performance etched her name in the record books.
🔥 Game Highlights:
1st Inning Surge:
• Isa Torres & Kennedy Harp delivered back-to-back singles to start the scoring
• Jahni Kerr (still scorching 🔥) added an RBI single to make it 2–0Francik’s Day:
• 12 K’s (career high) | 3 H | 0 R | 7.0 IP
• Retired the first 10 batters she faced — 6 via strikeout
• First Nole with 12+ strikeouts in a game since Meghan King (2019)
• First complete game of the season for any FSU pitcherPower Boost:
• Katie Dack launched her 11th HR of the year — a no-doubt shot to dead center in the 6th
🔜 Next Up:
The Noles return to ACC play Friday night vs. Cal (6 PM ET, ACCNX) to kick off a big three-game road series.
🏀 Jamir Watkins Enters Portal (Again) + Declares for NBA Draft
Florida State’s leading scorer is on the move — for now. 🌀
Jamir Watkins, who led the Noles with 18.4 PPG this past season, has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal for the second straight offseason — and this time, he’s declaring for the NBA Draft as well.
📝 Quick Recap:
⭐ 18.4 PPG | 5.7 RPG | 1.2 SPG
🎖️ All-ACC Second Team (2024)
✅ Started all 32 games this season
📍 Former VCU transfer
🏀 Tested NBA waters + entered portal last year before returning to FSU
🚪 This marks the 10th player to transfer since Leonard Hamilton’s retirement and Luke Loucks’ takeover. Watkins’ “do not contact” portal tag suggests his sights are on the pros — or a select few schools if he returns to college.
📍 Bottom Line:
Watkins leaves big shoes to fill — and the Loucks-led rebuild just got even more real.
🧠 Castellanos Speaks: Portal Journey, QB Dreams & His Vision for FSU
FSU QB Tommy Castellanos had an informative interview this morning with ACC Network.
He shares:
+ What school actually led him into the portal
+ Other FSU players standing out to him so far
+ What would be a succesful 2025 season for him?— Zach Blostein (@ZBlostein247)

Tommy Castellanos isn’t just QB1 — he’s a Seminole with something to prove. And after an electric sit-down with ACC Network’s Kelly Gramlich and Eric Mac Lain, it’s clear the new FSU signal caller is bringing more than just wheels and arm talent to Tallahassee. 🔑
📺 Highlights From the Interview:
💼 On the Portal Chaos: “Auburn had me locked in… but when Gus Malzahn called, there was no way I could say no.”
🌴 On Being at FSU: “This was my dream school growing up. Sometimes I still don’t think it’s real.”
💪 On His 2025 Focus: “My only goal? Get Florida State football back to the standard — the Seminole way.”
📈 On His Leadership Style: “It’s not about being loud — it’s about earning trust. They shouldn’t want to let me down.”
🔥 Spring Ball Standouts (in his eyes): • Duce Robinson
• Squirrel White
• Hykeem Williams
• Jayvan Boggs
• Elijah Moore
• “The tight end room is one of the best on the team.”
🎯 On His Freedom in Norvell & Malzahn’s Offense: “Now, it’s like taking a dog off the leash. I feel so free… I can just go be me.”
😂 On Norvell’s Energy: “People ask who’s that flying around yelling? That’s him. Every day. No bad days. Ever.”
👀 On What Success Looks Like: “I’m not gonna say it — just watch. It’s going to be special.”
📍 Bottom Line:
Tommy has the swagger, the story, and the support. Now, it’s time to see how high this version of FSU football can fly.
🧲 2027 ATH Kamarui Dorsey Picks Up FSU Offer on “One of the Best Visits Yet”
Kamarui Dorsey may have been the most impressive prospect on the field at Atlanta Pylon 7v7. At about 6'3" with long arms and good feet he could become dominant as a defender. #alwaysevaluatingTSS@Pylon7on7 @d1_kamarui

📍 Visit Highlights: • Attended FSU’s 10th spring practice
• Offered on-site before practice
• Got 1-on-1 time with coaches and the DB room
🗣️ Dorsey on the Visit: “It was one of the best visits I’ve been on so far. The love, the standard — it was a great mix of both.”
🔒 FSU’s Pitch: The Seminoles like Dorsey as a defensive back and made it clear he fits their future vision in the secondary.
📊 Sophomore Stats: • 600+ receiving yards | 10 TDs
• 46 tackles | 3 INTs | 4 TFL
🔮 Recruitment Outlook: Still unrated in the early 2027 rankings, Dorsey holds 10+ offers including: Florida, Notre Dame, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Nebraska, and more.

Douglasville (Ga.) WR Aaron Gregory — a Top-60 national prospect and longtime Florida State target — was back in Tallahassee on Wednesday for a 5-hour visit that gave him plenty of face time with Mike Norvell and new WR coach Tim Harris Jr. 🔁🍢

🗓️ Recruiting Outlook: • Committed to Texas A&M since Oct. 2024

• Other contenders: Georgia Tech, LSU, possibly Texas
📊 Rankings: • No. 57 overall | No. 7 WR in 2025 class (247Sports Composite)
And that’s a wrap!
