🚪 WR Jordan Scott to Enter Transfer Portal After One Semester
Given his size at 6-foot-7 and 219 pounds, FSU’s coaches hoped JUCO WR Jordan Scott could be another big target in the Seminoles’ passing game.
Instead, he has left the program without finishing spring practice.

Florida State’s roster reshuffle continues as wide receiver Jordan Scott plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal after just one semester in Tallahassee.
📋 Quick Profile:
• 🏈 JUCO transfer from Southwest Mississippi CC
• 📏 6’7”, 215 lbs — drew comparisons to former FSU standout Johnny Wilson
• 💥 2024 stats: 20 REC | 358 YDS | 4 TD (8 games)
• 🗓️ Enrolled in January after flipping from Arizona State
📉 Why the Move?
Scott faced tough competition this spring from fellow big-bodied wideouts Duce Robinson and Elijah Moore, making early playing time unlikely.
🔁 Portal Watch Update:
• QB Trever Jackson
• OL Jaylen Early
• WR Jordan Scott
…with more likely on the way as the spring window opens Wednesday, April 16 – Friday, April 25.
🌀 Norvell on Portal Departures: “No Surprises” — More Could Be Coming
With the spring transfer window officially opening Wednesday, Florida State head coach Mike Norvell isn’t sweating the early wave of exits — and he’s not ruling out some new arrivals, either.
🧳 Who’s Out So Far:
• OL Jaylen Early
• QB Trever Jackson
• WR Jordan Scott
💬 Norvell on Departures:
“There’s not a whole lot of surprises that happen… We’re supporting them in their journey.”
“We’ll always be evaluating — if there’s an opportunity to make our team better, we’ll take it.”
📊 Context:
Early was the only expected contributor in 2024, while Jackson and Scott both slid down their respective depth charts this spring.
🔍 Portal Watch Going Forward:
• FSU brought in 16 transfers this winter
• Norvell and staff will use the final spring practices to assess roster needs
• Any additions will be aimed at enhancing scheme fit under Gus Malzahn (OC) and Tony White (DC)
🗓️ The spring portal window runs April 16–25.
And that’s a wrap!
FSU’s rolling. Baseball’s crushing, golf’s stacking trophies, softball’s heating up, and the portal’s wide open. We’ve got postseason runs, prime-time showdowns, and maybe a few roster surprises on the way. 👀
As always — stay loud, stay proud, and don’t forget to snag your spot in FSU April Fools history before someone else drives the price up.
We’ll see you in the next edition.
