Woad Tied for 1st, Eyes ANWA Repeat at Augusta National

History is on the line. 👀

Florida State’s Lottie Woad is tied for first place heading into the championship round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur — and on the verge of becoming the first repeat champion in the event’s six-year history. 💪⛳

📊 Woad’s Scorecard So Far: • Round 1: 65
• Round 2: 70
• Two-day total: 9-under 135
• 5 straight rounds under par — an ANWA record
• 17-under across her last six ANWA rounds

Woad will tee it up Saturday at Augusta National, with all of her FSU teammates there to support.

🎙️ “I’ve got the experience from last year… I’m hoping to be in the final group, and I’m ready for it,” said Woad.

💔 Teammate Mirabel Ting made a valiant charge with a 68 in Round 2 but missed the cut by one stroke. Still, Ting has averaged 72.2 in five career ANWA rounds — and showed elite poise with the second-best bounce-back round in the field.

📍 Saturday’s final round airs on NBC and Peacock — and the whole country will be watching as Woad chases a title defense for the ages.

🧠 Terance Mann Joins FSU Hoops as Assistant GM

A Nole is coming home. 🍢

Florida State legend Terance Mann has officially joined the men’s basketball program as Assistant General Manager, the team announced Thursday — the latest addition to Luke Loucks’ fast-growing, NBA-savvy staff.

🗣️ “Once a Nole, always a Nole,” FSU posted. “Let’s get to work.”

🔥 Mann at a Glance: • Played four seasons at FSU (2015–2019) • Drafted by the Clippers in 2019, now with the Atlanta Hawks • Will remain an active NBA player while supporting the program — following a model used by Steph Curry (Davidson) and Trae Young (Oklahoma)

It’s a bold, culture-building move from Loucks — bringing in pros to build pros.

🏀 FSU Lands JU Scorer Robert McCray V

The Loucks Reload continues. 🔁

Florida State added its fourth transfer of the offseason on Thursday as Robert McCray V, a dynamic junior guard from Jacksonville University, committed to the Seminoles.

📈 2023–24 Stats (JU): • 🏀 16.2 PPG | 4.8 RPG | 4.5 APG | 1.4 SPG
• 🎯 42.8% FG | 32.6% 3PT
• 📊 1.3-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio
• Started 31 of 32 games

🧩 Why it matters: The 6’4” playmaker reunites with former JU assistant Michael Fly and brings instant offense, ball-handling, and toughness to the backcourt. He began his career at Wake Forest and is originally from Columbia, S.C.

✅ McCray joins Kobe Magee, Lajae Jones, and Chauncey Wiggins as key portal pickups.

📊 FSU Expands Tech Edge with Teamworks GM Integration

Florida State is leveling up its athletics operations. 🚀

This week, FSU Athletics announced it will expand its partnership with Teamworks by adopting Teamworks GM — a cutting-edge platform that centralizes roster management, NIL oversight, and financial planning.

🧠 Why it matters: As the college sports landscape evolves post-NCAA House settlement, this move positions FSU to lead in a new era of athlete support and revenue-sharing readiness.

💬 AD Michael Alford:
"Teamworks GM is another tool that will help us advance our goal of having every student-athlete leave Florida State with a valuable degree in one hand and a championship ring on the other."

🔧 Key Features: • Real-time roster management
• NIL + budget planning tools
• Mock roster + resource simulations
• Seamless integration across FSU’s existing Teamworks ecosystem

Florida State becomes the 6th ACC program to adopt Teamworks GM — further proving that when it comes to strategic innovation, the Noles don’t play catch-up.

🏈 QB Radar: 4⭐️ Oklahoma Commit Jaden O’Neal Returns to FSU

The quarterback picture for FSU’s 2026 class is heating back up — and a familiar name is back on the board.

👀 Jaden O’Neal, a four-star California native now living in Oklahoma and committed to the Sooners, made a surprise two-day unofficial visit to Tallahassee this week.

💬 “I wanted to get back just to maintain the relationship… it’s way easier now that I’m in Oklahoma,” O’Neal told 247.

🔥 Why it matters: • FSU is back in the mix after missing on Bowe Bentley
• OC Gus Malzahn and QBs coach Tony Tokarz are in regular contact
• O’Neal loved what he saw from Malzahn’s balanced scheme: “They want to throw the ball. I’m a fit.”

📍 What’s next: He heads to Auburn next, with Georgia and Arizona also in the mix. But if FSU keeps building that relationship? Don’t count the ‘Noles out.

And that’s a wrap!

That’s a wrap on a weekend stacked with history, highlights, and high-stakes matchups.

🏆 Lottie Woad is chasing a legendary repeat at Augusta.
🎾 Men’s Tennis and Softball are streaking.
⚾️ Baseball’s about to light up a sold-out Howser.
🏀 And the Loucks Era? Gaining momentum by the day.
