Makayla Timpson delivered a stellar performance on Thursday, leading Florida State to a commanding 97-74 victory over Jacksonville at the Donald L. Tucker Center. The win marked the end of FSU’s non-conference schedule, improving the Seminoles to 11-2 on the season.
Game Highlights:
Makayla Timpson: Recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 27 points, 13 rebounds, and a career-high 8 blocks. Timpson is now second in FSU history with 38 career double-doubles, just three shy of the school record. Her eight blocks also tied head coach Brooke Wyckoff’s single-game record from 1997.
O’Mariah Gordon: Secured the first double-double of her career with 19 points and a career-high 10 assists, showcasing her dynamic playmaking ability.
Balanced Scoring: Five Seminoles scored in double figures for the fourth time this season, highlighting FSU’s depth.

Tied at 31 with 5:57 left in the second quarter, FSU went on a game-changing 22-2 run to close the half, taking a commanding 53-33 lead into the break. The Seminoles extended their advantage to 29 points early in the fourth quarter before Jacksonville mounted a late push.

Florida State diver Kayleigh Clark took center stage on Thursday, winning the 1-meter springboard competition at the Auburn Diving Invitational. Her victory, paired with strong team performances, showcased the Seminoles’ depth and talent on day two of the meet.
Key Performances:
Kayleigh Clark: Claimed first place with a score of 295.15, edging out the runner-up by just 3.0 points.
Samantha Vear: Placed third with 287.35 points, adding another podium finish for FSU.
Hayden Schroeder: Finished fourth on the men’s 3-meter with 355.25 points, leading the Seminoles in that event.
Additional Finalists: Freshman Evelyn Hall (10th), Isabel Gregersen (14th), and Cassidy Carder (16th) added depth to FSU’s results on the women’s 1-meter.

The Auburn Invitational continues with women’s 3-meter and men’s platform events on Friday, followed by the women’s platform on Saturday. Action begins at 11:30 a.m. ET daily, with live coverage available on SEC Network+ and Dive Meets.
