Welcome to The Chief Brief!
🎄 Merry day after Christmas, Seminole Nation! 🎄
As you take down your stockings and sip your leftover eggnog, let's dive into a festive but serious FSU tale.
It's a Christmas of change and challenge for our beloved team as quarterback Tate Rodemaker announces his transfer, leaving the Seminoles to rally behind young Brock Glenn (again).
Amidst the holiday cheer, FSU gears up for the Orange Bowl with a mix of determination and adaptability, proving that even during the holidays, the spirit of competition and unity burns bright in Tallahassee. 🏈🍢
🏈 QB Shuffle at FSU: A December to Remember...or Forget?
Mike Norvell says Brock Glenn will start the Orange Bowl
"Life is full of choices and the opportunity that we have now, Brock (Glenn), who started the (ACC) championship game for us is going to be the starter here for the Orange Bowl."

Well, folks, FSU's football December has been less like a holiday parade and more like a wild goose chase.
Picture it: a stellar, undefeated season, eyes on the prize, then the Playoff committee basically hands you a lump of coal. Brutal, right?
Now let's talk quarterbacks. Tate Rodemaker, the relief pitcher who stepped up to the mound after Jordan Travis' unfortunate exit, has decided to take his talents elsewhere, aka the transfer portal.
Talk about timing, right when the Orange Bowl's on the horizon against the juggernaut Georgia team.
Florida State QB Tate Rodemaker, who took over as FSU’s starter after Jordan Travis' injury, has informed the FSU staff that he plans to enter the transfer portal, a source tells @247Sports.
He won't be playing in the Orange Bowl matchup vs. Georgia.

And it's not just Tate; A.J. Duffy's already packing for the sunny shores of San Diego State.
That leaves us with Brock Glenn, the fresh-faced freshman, as the man under center.
It's time for the Glennaisance to begin.
A wild night for a true freshman QB but Brock Glenn gets it done to win #FSU an ACC Championship. #Noles

Enter stage right: Coach Mike Norvell, dropping a tweet that's got more mystery than a Miami fan’s source of pride.
Is it shade thrown at Rodemaker's departure or just a quirky ode to Nick Cage? We're left to wonder.
The world will let fear affect it, life can be full of disappointing moments, and will always have competition. Be true and honest in the moment you then you can live with all the results. Excited and grateful for each opportunity #KeepCLIMBing #AllWeGotAllWeNeed

Here's the deal with the QB exodus: FSU's been eyeing some new talent from the transfer portal.
So if you're Rodemaker, maybe you see the writing on the wall. It's a tough break, but the guy's gotta look out for numero uno.
Now, from a Seminole's fan point of view, seeing players bow out just before the bowl game stings like a bee.
But take a step back, put yourself in their cleats. They've been snubbed from a championship run after a perfect record. The bowl game, as prestigious as it is, might feel a bit like a consolation prize under these circumstances.
So, as FSU braces for a clash with Georgia, a team probably as eager as ever, it's clear this isn't the same crew we've been cheering all season long.
That team's chapter ended abruptly, and what's left is a group ready to prove themselves against the odds, with a greenhorn quarterback steering the ship. It's an underdog scenario for the ages.
As we gear up for the Orange Bowl, let's keep perspective. It's been a season of highs and one very notable low for these players.
To Tate Rodemaker and anyone facing tough choices, we tip our hats. College football's always been a wild ride, and this season's been no exception.
Here's to an Orange Bowl that defies expectations and delivers a story worth telling. After all, that's what keeps us coming back for more.
Welp, that’s a wrap for us today!
Since we’re so brief today, here’s an 8 and a half minute video breaking down FSU’s dominant performance against Louisville:
