Man, I feel bad for the recruits going to Miami U for NIL…….. bad staff, no stability within program and one of the worst college home game atmospheres.
Chasing the money isn’t always the answer. But good luck

🏌️♀️ Alice Hodge Tees Off at Patriot All-American Invitational
Florida State's seasoned golfer, senior Alice Hodge, is set to swing into action at the prestigious Patriot All-American Invitational at the Wigwam Golf Resort. This three-day, 54-hole event, running from December 29 to 31, showcases 150 of the nation's top amateur players, with Hodge taking her shot in the Women's Division.
The invitational is more than just a competition; it's a tribute to our military heroes. Each player honors a fallen or wounded soldier by carrying a commemorative PING golf bag adorned with their name, rank, and branch. Hodge will honor Army Sergeant Alberto D. Montrond, reflecting on the sacrifice and valor that underscore the tournament's significance.
Good luck, Alice!🍢

Amidst the competitive spirit, the event provides a poignant moment for players like Hodge to interact directly with military personnel at Luke Air Force Base. This rare civilian access includes meeting with the General, fighter pilots, and crew, adding a layer of depth and gratitude to the tournament's atmosphere.
On the course, Hodge has proven her mettle, ranked 14th in FSU history with an impressive 74.47 career stroke average. Notably, her single-round score of 65 at the 2021 Moon Invitational ties her with the best in school records. Beyond the greens, Hodge's academic excellence shines through, having been named to the President's List in fall 2023 with a 4.0 GPA, among other academic accolades throughout her time at FSU.
As Hodge approaches the tee, she carries not only her skills and aspirations but also the legacy of a hero. The FSU community watches eagerly as she represents the Seminoles' spirit of excellence and honor in this unique and prestigious tournament.

The No. 22 Florida State Seminoles are set to face Georgia Tech in a gripping ACC opener. With both teams standing at 9-3, this game is not just a continuation of their 55-game rivalry but also a chance for FSU to exceed preseason expectations once more. FSU, predicted fifth in the ACC, has historically outperformed such rankings under Coach Brooke Wyckoff.
The Seminoles lead the series 30-25 and are riding a three-game winning streak against the Yellow Jackets. Sophomore guard Ta'Niya Latson, with two 30-point performances against Georgia Tech, is a key player to watch.
FSU's recent 110-45 win over Alabama State showcases their scoring prowess and sets a high bar for their offensive capabilities. Leading the ACC with the fewest turnovers, FSU combines fast gameplay with precision, aiming to continue their success in ACC openers. As they step into the Tucker Center, FSU looks to assert its dominance and continue its upward trajectory in ACC standings.
🏐 FSU Beach Volleyball: Charting the Path to Victory in 2024
As the sands of time turn towards another season of exhilarating beach volleyball, Florida State sets its sights on a championship horizon.
The Seminoles, under the seasoned guidance of Head Coach Brooke Niles, are ready to dive into the 2024 schedule with the vigor and prowess that has marked their journey so far.
Niles, returning for her ninth season, has sculpted FSU Beach Volleyball into a formidable force, boasting a record of 233-53.
Her tenure shines with three NCAA National Runner-Up finishes and six CCSA championships, underlining the team's consistent excellence and competitive edge.
The 2023 season saw the Seminoles as National Semifinalists, wrapping up with a strong 32-9 record.
With every serve and spike, FSU has not only displayed athletic brilliance but also a steadfast commitment to elevating their game.
The upcoming season holds the promise of intense matches and the pursuit of the elusive NCAA National Championship.
As the team preps for another round of beachside battles, their trajectory is clear: aim high, dig deep, and perhaps, this time, clinch that championship title.
🏈 Seminoles in Pursuit of Premier Portal Prospects
Florida State University continues its strategic moves in the transfer portal, focusing on acquiring top talent to enhance the team's performance.
The Seminoles are not only eyeing defensive and offensive upgrades with Nic Scourton and Evan Stewart but are also keen on bringing in a game-changing running back, Peny Boone, alongside the potential acquisition of QB Cameron Ward.
Nic Scourton: A Defensive Dynamo
Nic Scourton was used as a stand up edge at Purdue, but at 6-4/280 I think he would thrive in FSU’s four down front

Scourton, the formidable edge defender from Purdue, is making his way to Tallahassee for an official visit starting January 3rd.
Standing tall at 6-foot-4 and weighing 280 pounds, Scourton has made a mark in the Big Ten with his impressive sophomore season stats, leading the conference in sacks. His two years of remaining eligibility make him an attractive prospect for FSU, looking to dominate defensively.
With Scourton's visit lined up and the team already securing a commitment from Marvin Jones Jr., another sought-after EDGE from UGA, FSU's defensive line could see significant reinforcement.
Peny Boone: A Powerhouse Running Back
Toledo running back Peny Boone has narrowed down his portal recruitment to Florida State, Louisville and Kentucky, he tells @On3sports.
The MAC Offensive Player of the Year ranked seventh nationally with 1,400 total rushing yards this season.

Florida State is in the final contention for Toledo's standout running back, Peny Boone.
Named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Boone's exceptional performance, including eight 100-yard games and 15 touchdowns, demonstrates his potential to be a game-changer for the Seminoles.
At 6-foot-1 and 242 pounds, Boone brings a powerful presence to the backfield, complementing FSU's offensive strategy.
His prior experience at Maryland and a stellar season at Toledo have made him a coveted prospect, with FSU among his top three choices.
Cameron Ward and Evan Stewart: Offense Amplifiers
Ward, a highly-touted QB, is nearing a decision that has FSU and Miami in anticipation.
His leadership and skills could be a game-changer for the Seminoles' offense.
Similarly, Stewart, known for his game-changing speed and athleticism, has shown mutual interest in joining the FSU ranks.
As a former 5-star wide receiver, Stewart's addition could significantly elevate the Seminole's offensive capabilities.
Former five-star Evan Stewart (finally) expected to enter the transfer portal
If I were a quarterback I’d want this guy on my team…
Looks like he has no problem playing against Auburn either 👀

Should these pursuits materialize, Norvell’s status as the portal king would endure.
As the Seminoles await decisions, the anticipation builds for what could be transformative additions to the team, heralding a new era of Seminole football excellence.
🍊 Seminoles vs. Bulldogs: A Clash of Titans in the Orange Bowl
As Florida State and Georgia prepare for their clash in the Orange Bowl, the stakes are high and the strategies complex.
This section integrates insights, stats, and narratives from multiple articles to deliver a comprehensive preview of the upcoming game.
Georgia's Formidable Balance and Efficiency
Georgia's entry into the Orange Bowl is marked by a balance that ranks them in the top 10 for both scoring offense and defense.
Their prowess on third downs, leading the country in conversions, sets a high bar for FSU's defense.
The Bulldogs' defense, despite its weakness in red zone conversions, has been generally robust, particularly against rushing attacks.
However, their recent loss in the SEC Championship against Alabama has exposed vulnerabilities that FSU can potentially exploit.
FSU's Defensive Dynamics and Fresh Opportunities
FSU's defense faces a significant challenge with several key players out.
The game will be a test of depth and strategy, as younger players step up to fill the void.
Despite the absences, FSU's third-down defense remains one of the best in the country, which will be crucial in containing Georgia's efficient offense.
The Seminoles' approach to Georgia's diverse attack, especially in handling star quarterback Carson Beck and a solid running back duo, will be pivotal.
Key Players and Matchups
Georgia's quarterback Carson Beck has been a model of efficiency, leading a versatile offensive unit that excels in both passing and rushing.
FSU's quarterback situation, with Brock Glenn stepping up due to injuries and transfers, adds an element of unpredictability.
Georgia's offensive line, despite some shuffling, has been effective, but FSU's defensive line, even without Jared Verse, will look to apply pressure and disrupt Georgia's rhythm.
The Psychological and Physical Battle
For Georgia, the game is an opportunity to bounce back from their SEC Championship loss and finish strong.
For FSU, it's about proving their mettle against a top-tier opponent and potentially capping an undefeated season.
Both teams are motivated and prepared, setting the stage for a highly competitive and strategic battle.
The Impact of Opt-Outs and Injuries
Both teams have been impacted by opt-outs and injuries.
Georgia's Brock Bowers and Amarius Mims are significant absences, while FSU contends with a depleted roster, including the loss of their star quarterback Jordan Travis and several key defenders.
How each team adapts to these changes will be crucial in determining the game's outcome.
The Final Verdict
The Orange Bowl is set to be a showcase of two of the country's top football programs, both looking to assert their dominance and end their seasons on a high note.
Georgia's balanced and efficient play style meets FSU's resilient and adaptable approach in a game that promises to be both a strategic and a physical battle.
As both teams make their final preparations, the anticipation builds for what is sure to be a memorable clash in Miami Gardens.
And that’s a wrap!
Kalen Deloach announced that he won’t be playing in the Orange Bowl and it seems Coach Norvell had a real connection with Kalen so we wanted to post coach’s tweet and arguably the most important and iconic play of the season here:
An #ALLTIME favorite! Thank you for allowing me to coach you and for your belief in what we could build this program to be. You’ve been an example of what it is to #KeepCLIMBing and you’re not done yet. Lifetime of success is in front of you #NoleFamily#1More#StarShinedBright
