Hey @GregMcElroy -- I was so touched to hear you talk about how much you love college football as you called it a "travesty" to leave an unbeaten Power 5 team out of the playoff. What did you end up loving more, that caused you to completely reverse your position 4 days later?

Our FSU Soccer team clinched their fourth NCAA title in ten years with a stunning 5-1 victory over Stanford. This is more than just a win; it's a demonstration of FSU's dominance in collegiate soccer. In fact, we’re calling it a dynasty.
Jody Brown's two goals were crucial, showcasing her striking prowess. Beata Olsson's contributions can't be overstated – one goal and two key assists, orchestrating attacks with precision. Jordynn Dudley, a freshman making waves, delivered a textbook penalty kick, showcasing her emerging talent under pressure.
Our offensive strategy was on full display – we outshot Stanford 16-5, with an 8-1 edge in shots on goal. This is no small feat against a team known for its defensive strength. Our relentless attack and strategic playmaking turned the game into a showcase of our team's capabilities.
This victory is historic not just for the scoreline but for marking our first undefeated season, highlighting the extraordinary journey of this team. The 5-1 scoreline, the highest in a College Cup match since 2012, underscores the offensive powerhouse that FSU has become.
As we celebrate this triumph, let's appreciate the blend of skill, strategy, and spirit that our Lady Noles have shown. We know how easily these opportunities can be taken away with you so let’s celebrate.
Here's to the Seminoles, continuously setting new benchmarks in college soccer!

Tough Break for the Seminoles: Cam'Ron Fletcher Out for the Season
In a challenging turn of events for FSU Basketball, senior guard Cam'Ron Fletcher faces another season-ending knee injury. This news comes as a hard hit, especially after his promising performance earlier this season.
Fletcher's journey has been marked by perseverance. Despite this setback, he remains an inspiration with his positive outlook and faith.
In the seven games he played this season, Fletcher was a key contributor, averaging 6.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, showcasing his potential as a vital member of the team.
His stats from the past seasons paint a picture of a player who has consistently strived to elevate his game.
Last season, Fletcher's impact was palpable with 10.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game before his injury. His journey with FSU, beginning as a transfer from Kentucky, has seen him evolve as an integral part of the Seminoles' lineup.
As Fletcher faces this challenging period, the entire Seminoles community stands with him.
We're with you, Cam'Ron. Here's to a full recovery and seeing you back in action, stronger than ever.

What do Thomas Jefferson, LeBron James, and the British royal family have in common? They all invest in wine and whiskey.
And with good reason. According to Knight Frank, wine and whiskey have been two of the best-performing alternative assets of the last decade.
There’s just one catch. For hundreds of years, you needed serious cash and connections just for a seat at the table. Plus you had to build fancy cellars and attend exclusive auctions while sporting an encyclopedic knowledge of wine and whiskey. Not happening - right?
Vinovest is changing that. With its easy-to-use platform, you can build a world-class portfolio of wine and whiskey in no time. Our portfolio managers work with you to find the right assets for your unique goals and horizons.
Here’s how Vinovest makes that possible:

The College Football Playoff: A Troubling Turn for FSU and Beyond
In a move that has sent shockwaves through the college football community, the College Football Playoff Committee’s recent decision has raised serious concerns.
Florida State, despite an undefeated season, has been left out of the playoff, highlighting a system that seems to favor certain conferences over pure performance.
Lol, the Coaches Poll ranked Texas and Bama in an absolute tie for 4th.

All AP voters had Michigan/Washington at 1/2 this week (in some order). Here’s how the votes for 3/4 broke down:

The exclusion of FSU, a Power 5 champion, sends a clear message: the current system is heavily influenced by financial and media interests, notably those of ESPN and FOX, who prioritize the SEC and Big Ten.
And it's not even a hard decision. The SEC is out. FSU whooped LSU and Texas whooped Bama at Bama.

This isn't just an FSU issue. It's a warning to all non-SEC/Big Ten schools about their limited access to the playoff. The upcoming 12-team playoff in 2024 might not change this dynamic, as the final rankings this year already favor the SEC and Big Ten heavily.
The implications are profound. The integrity of college football's competitive landscape is at stake. U.S. Senator Rick Scott and others have called for transparency in the selection process, which is a step in the right direction.
Any @CFBPlayoff committee member that wishes to come forward to disclose their votes should do so NOW. I’m in conversations with legislators on additional action. Playoff committee members should take steps to preserve all documents. @FSUFootball#FlaPol

Obviously hope this doesn’t happen, but if there’s an injury in practice in the next few weeks does the Committee meet and redo the top 25? If the primary criterion is who is available rather than what was achieved on the field it would be inconsistent not to.

While it's too late for the 2023 FSU team, there's hope that these actions might lead to a more equitable future for the sport.
It’s also hilarious how the CFP is the only major rankings system that had FSU out of the top 4. The AP Poll, Coaches’ Poll, and the BCS ALL had them in, FSU was above Washington, Alabama, and Texas in SP+ rankings… I just don’t see a way to rationalize it besides corruption 🤷🏼♂️

AP Poll voter Mike Barber says that he will consider voting FSU at #1 if they beat Georgia and Texas or Alabama wins the CFP, and he's probably not alone. 👀
