The Florida State baseball team (6-0) showcased their offensive firepower in a commanding 20-7 victory over Western Carolina (3-4) on Sunday afternoon at Dick Howser Stadium, completing their first three-game sweep of the season. This marked the first time since 2020 that the Seminoles scored 20 runs in a single game.

James Tibbs led the charge with his second career multi-homer game, including his second grand slam of the season, setting a personal best with six RBIs in the game. Tibbs, who has yet to strike out in 29 plate appearances this season, continues to be a reliable offensive force for the Seminoles. Drew Faurot also made significant contributions with three hits and four RBIs in the contest, tallying eight hits across the three-game series against the Catamounts.

The Seminoles' offense collectively amassed 16 hits and six extra-base hits, showcasing their depth and potency at the plate throughout the game. This impressive offensive display culminated in a total of 41 hits over the course of the series against Western Carolina.

Notably, Anna Arkadianou delivered an impressive 6-1, 6-1 victory over the 76th-ranked Katie Codd, while senior Ellie Schoppe sealed the deal for FSU with a remarkable victory over No. 80 Shavit Kimchi, clinching the match for the Seminoles.

The No. 14 Florida State men's tennis team (9-2) showcased their dominance on the court, securing a commanding victory over South Alabama (4-5) on Sunday afternoon, extending their winning streak to an impressive six matches.

"I thought we started the match with outstanding doubles play and were really strong," remarked head coach Dwayne Hultquist. "We moved into singles, got four of the six first sets and took control from there."
