This accolade celebrates the balance of high achievement in sports and academics, with recipients embarking on further education at an ACC institution.

Lauren Flynn, a stalwart defender from FSU's historic 2023 National Championship soccer team, not only led the Noles to their first undefeated season but has now been distinguished with the Jim & Pat Thacker Scholarship Award. Starting all 23 games and clocking in 2,033 minutes, Flynn's on-field prowess was matched by her academic achievements, boasting a 3.93 GPA in political science. Her contributions were pivotal, scoring a career-high five goals this season and earning the NCAA Tournament Defensive Most Outstanding Player title.
