Florida State will once again be well-represented on the NFL’s biggest stage as four former ‘Noles battle for a Super Bowl ring this Sunday in Super Bowl LIX!
🔥 FSU Alumni in the Super Bowl:
🏹 Kansas City Chiefs:
🔹 Derrick Nnadi (DT) – Going for his 4th Super Bowl ring!

🦅 Philadelphia Eagles:
🔹 Josh Sweat (DE) – Making his 2nd Super Bowl appearance in 3 years.
🔹 Johnny Wilson (WR) – Rookie appearing in his first Super Bowl.
🏆 Nnadi’s Quest for History

🔥 5⭐ Edge Rusher Trenton Henderson Weighing FSU as Official Visits Take Shape
One of the nation’s top defensive prospects, 5-star edge rusher Trenton Henderson, is nearing a major step in his recruitment—and Florida State is right in the mix.
🏹 Henderson’s Recruiting Profile
✅ No. 12 overall player (247Sports Composite)
✅ No. 3 edge rusher in the nation
✅ 6’4, 225 lbs | Pensacola (Fla.) Catholic
✅ Uncommitted, but four official visits locked in
🔍 Henderson’s Official Visit Schedule
📅 May 16-18 – Auburn
📅 May 30-June 2 – Vanderbilt
📅 June 6-8 – Alabama
📅 June 13-15 – Florida
🚨 Where Does FSU Stand?
Henderson visited Florida State in January, and coming out of that trip, he listed the Seminoles in his early Top 2 alongside Auburn. However, he has yet to schedule an official visit to Tallahassee, leaving his final visit slot open.
Why That’s Significant:
🔹 FSU’s Staff Views Henderson as a Must-Get – As a Panhandle prospect, Henderson is a major in-state priority.
🔹 FSU’s EDGE Track Record Speaks for Itself – The ‘Noles just produced Jared Verse, the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.
🔹 His Visit Schedule Can Still Change – Official visits get reshuffled all the time, and FSU could grab a spot late.
⚡ The Wildcard: Could Texas or Another Program Shake Things Up?
🔹 Texas recently offered and Henderson plans to visit in the spring.
🔹 If any school outside of his official visit list makes a stronger impression, his schedule could shift.
⏳ What’s Next?
🔹 Henderson plans to trim his list further this spring—FSU will be watching closely.
🔹 If the ‘Noles get an official visit locked in, they’ll be in a strong position.
FSU Locks in Official Visit with Former Alabama OL Commit Zykie Helton
Enjoy you today @CoachHand looking forward to seeing you soon #GONOLES🍢🍢
— Zykie Helton (@zykiehelton52)
5:33 PM • Jan 27, 2025
Carrollton (Ga.) offensive lineman Zykie Helton, a former Alabama commit, has set his official visit schedule, with Florida State securing a key spot.
Helton’s Official Visit Schedule:
May 30 – Georgia
June 6 – Florida
June 13 – Florida State
The 6-foot-2, 280-pound lineman is also working on visit dates with Alabama and Colorado.
FSU has been in the mix for Helton since offering him in August 2024. He’s already visited Tallahassee multiple times, including an unofficial visit for the Florida game last season. His familiarity with the program, plus FSU’s strong ties to his high school—two former Carrollton teammates, Shamar Arnoux and Antonio Cromartie Jr., signed with the Seminoles in 2025—gives the ‘Noles a solid foundation in his recruitment.
There are no Crystal Ball predictions yet, but FSU is clearly making a push. If Helton’s summer visit goes well, the Seminoles could emerge as a serious contender in his recruitment.
Four-Star OT Bryce Gilmore Set to Visit FSU for Legacy Weekend
Florida State’s Legacy Weekend is shaping up to be another massive recruiting event, and the Seminoles just added a big name to the list.
Bryce Gilmore, a four-star offensive tackle from Prosper (Texas), has confirmed he will be in Tallahassee on Saturday, March 22 for an FSU visit.
FSU’s Connection with Gilmore:
🔹 Ranked No. 15 OT in the 2026 class (247Sports)
🔹 First visited FSU on Nov. 30, 2024, just three weeks after getting his offer
🔹 OL coach Herb Hand has been actively recruiting him since joining FSU in December
🔹 Holds over three dozen offers from top programs
At 6-foot-4, 270 pounds, Gilmore is one of the most sought-after linemen in the country. There are no Crystal Ball predictions yet, but FSU getting him on campus for a key recruiting weekend is a great sign.
His father, Bryan Gilmore, played eight seasons in the NFL as a wide receiver, giving him valuable football pedigree.
Four-Star TE Evan Jacobson Sets Two Visits to FSU
After an amazing visit and conversations with @Coach_Norvell@ThomsenChris and @PrestonB49 I am super excited and blessed to receive an offer from @FSUFootball‼️
@AllenTrieu@adamgorney@CoachBakker@D1Apex— Evan Jacobson (@Evanjacobson12_)
9:24 PM • Jun 16, 2024
Florida State is stacking up its tight end targets in the 2026 class, and one of the biggest names on their board is Evan Jacobson—literally.
At 6-foot-7, 220 pounds, the Waukee (Iowa) four-star tight end has locked in a return to Tallahassee for March 22, with plans to set up an official visit as well.
🔹 Earned his FSU offer last June after camping with the team
🔹 Tight ends coach Chris Thomsen visited him in late January
🔹 Official visit to Auburn set for June 13—his only locked-in OV so far
🔹 30+ offers but no Crystal Ball predictions yet
Jacobson, ranked as the No. 11 tight end and No. 152 overall prospect in the 2026 class, also brings an impressive basketball background to the table. His older brother, Michael Jacobson, played college basketball at Nebraska & Iowa State before transitioning to the NFL, where he’s currently with the New Orleans Saints.
FSU is also heavily involved with other top tight end targets, including Xavier Tiller (GA), Heze Kent (GA), Camden Jensen (CO), and Corbyn Fordham (FL).
With Jacobson now planning two visits, the Seminoles have a strong shot to make a lasting impression.
⚾ Florida State Baseball’s Preseason Scrimmage: Pitching & Power on Display
With Opening Day just a week away, Florida State baseball continued preparations for head coach Link Jarrett’s third season with a competitive eight-inning scrimmage. Pitchers stretched out their workloads, while the offense showcased some serious pop.
🔥 Pitching Standouts:
Jamie Arnold (5 IP, 7 K, 0 H) was dominant despite some control struggles, with his fastball reaching 96 MPH.
Evan Chrest retired the first 10 batters he faced and struck out five across five innings.
Ben Barrett flashed an elite cutter, while Peyton Prescott hit 96 MPH with his lively fastball in a scoreless frame.
💣 Offensive Highlights:
Max Williams (105 MPH exit velocity) blasted his third opposite-field homer in two weekends.
Cal Fisher homered for the second straight Friday, this time on a changeup.
Alex Lodise capped off the scrimmage with a deep shot to right field.
Jace Estes reached base three times, while Carter McCulley racked up two opposite-field singles.
And that’s a wrap!
With FSU thriving in recruiting, dominating on the field, and leaving its mark on the national stage, there’s never a dull moment in Tallahassee.
🏆 Will Derrick Nnadi secure his fourth Super Bowl ring?
🥎 Can FSU Softball close out Puerto Vallarta with a statement win over Oklahoma State?
