In the wintry setting of South Bend, Florida State's basketball team delivered a stellar performance, defeating Notre Dame 67-58 in a vital ACC road game. Primo Spears emerged as a key player, leading the team with 13 points.
The game started with the Seminoles setting an aggressive tone, applying full-court pressure that paid off. A notable nine-point run in the first half, combined with a perfect record from the free-throw line and ten offensive rebounds, highlighted FSU's dominance.
Spears was instrumental throughout, especially with crucial points as time dwindled. Alongside him, Watkins showcased his all-around skills with 12 points, rebounds, steals, and assists, bouncing back after early fouls.
The second half saw classic FSU defense, disrupting Notre Dame's rhythm and extending the lead to 14 points. This defensive prowess was evident in FSU's nine steals and seven blocks, with six steals occurring in the latter half.

🌊 Seminoles Make Waves in Swimming and Diving Meet
The No. 16/23 FSU swimming and diving teams showcased impressive skills in their meet against Georgia and Vanderbilt.
The women's team, ranked 23rd, excelled with first-place finishes in 13 events, notably beating Vanderbilt but falling to Georgia.
The 16th-ranked men's team faced a tough loss against Georgia, reflecting their season's strong record.
Coach Neal Studd praised the team's performance, particularly highlighting the women's 200 medley relay win and Tommaso Baravelli's standout performance in breaststroke events and the IM.
The team saw several personal bests and top finishes across various events, indicating strong momentum as they prepare for their next meet against Florida.
🎾 Seminoles Tennis Teams Sweep Season Opener
The No. 20 FSU men's tennis team kicked off their season with a doubleheader sweep against Mercer and Jacksonville State.
Coach Dwayne Hultquist praised the team for winning all 12 singles matches and 4 doubles. Freshmen Justin Lyons and Azariah Rusher impressed in their first matches, while Jamie Connel and Alex Bulte dominated their games.
The team displayed strong energy and skill, indicating a promising season ahead. FSU now gears up for challenging matches against Mississippi State and Alabama, carrying momentum from their successful season start.
