  • Top Opponents: Alabama, Clemson, Miami, and Florida (all projected preseason Top 20).

  • Road Games: Trips to Virginia, NC State, Stanford, and Florida present additional hurdles.

  • Tough Start: The season opener against Alabama sets the tone for a grueling slate.

🏈 4-Star RB Amari Clemons Commits to FSU

Florida State has secured a key commitment from four-star running back Amari Clemons, who announced his decision on social media after back-to-back visits to Tallahassee.

🌟 Why Clemons Chose FSU:

  • Local Talent: Clemons hails from nearby Marianna, Fla., and his proximity to Tallahassee played a major role in his choice.

  • Top Competition: He picked the Seminoles over offers from Florida, Auburn, Miami, and Ole Miss, among others.

🏃 Clemons' 2024 Stats:

  • Rushing: 1,880 yards on 153 carries (12.3 YPC) with 34 touchdowns.

  • Receiving: 14 receptions for 247 yards and 3 touchdowns.

🔍 Recruiting Impact:
Clemons, ranked as the nation’s No. 24 running back in the 2026 class (247Sports Composite), becomes the sixth commitment for FSU's 2026 recruiting class. He joins a group featuring four-star athlete Efrem White, four-star WR Darryon Williams, and three others.

🏈 FSU Adjusts QB Recruiting Focus After Smigiel's Decommitment

Florida State wasted no time pivoting after four-star quarterback Brady Smigiel decommitted on Sunday. The Seminoles immediately extended offers to three highly-rated 2026 signal-callers, all of whom fit Gus Malzahn's preference for dual-threat quarterbacks.

🌟 The QB Targets

4-Star QB Bowe Bentley (6-3, 200, Celina, Texas)

  • Stats: 3,211 passing yards, 47 TDs, 7 INTs; 923 rushing yards, 16 TDs.

  • Recruiting Notes: Bentley is a rising star whose mobility and ability to run RPOs fit Malzahn's system perfectly. FSU has established early connections, and Bentley is expected to visit Tallahassee this spring. Oklahoma and Missouri remain strong contenders.

4-Star QB Landon Duckworth (6-3, 190, Jackson, Ala.)

  • Stats: 3,439 passing yards, 39 TDs, 10 INTs; 648 rushing yards, 12 TDs.

  • Recruiting Notes: Duckworth has a pre-existing relationship with Malzahn from his UCF days. FSU is working to secure an early visit, with South Carolina and Ole Miss posing stiff competition.

4-Star QB Keisean Henderson (6-3, 170, Houston, Texas)

  • Stats: MVP of the 2025 Navy All-American Bowl.

  • Recruiting Notes: Henderson is committed to Houston but has drawn interest from Georgia, Ole Miss, and now FSU. While flipping him will be challenging, an upcoming in-home visit from FSU staff could open the door.

🔍 Takeaways

  • Athletic QBs Only: All three prospects are dynamic athletes who excel as dual-threat quarterbacks, signaling FSU's full commitment to Malzahn’s offensive vision.

  • Priority Order: Bentley appears to be the top target, with Duckworth also seen as an attainable option. Henderson, while immensely talented, is considered the biggest longshot.
