🏈 Quarterback for next season is secured

Florida State fans, get ready to welcome a new era under center!

DJ Uiagalelei, the Oregon State quarterback with Clemson roots, is bringing his talents to Tallahassee for the 2024 season.

This isn't just any transfer; it's the key play for the Seminoles offseason, promising to add depth, experience, and some serious arm strength to the offensive lineup.

So, let's dive into what this means for the garnet and gold!

🌟 Meet the New QB on the Block: DJ Uiagalelei

Initially, he was poised to be the next big thing, ranked as the No. 2 overall player in the 2020 recruiting class alongside names like Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud.

Uiagalelei even showed glimpses of his potential, stepping in for Trevor Lawrence with an impressive 781 yards in two starts during the 2020 College Football Playoff run.

However, his tenure with the Tigers saw a challenging final season where the balance tipped more towards interceptions (10) than touchdowns (9), leading to a mutual parting of ways

His impressive stats from last season whisper tales of touchdowns and tactical plays, and with a passer rating that's through the roof, expectations are soaring.

Standing tall at 6'5" and tipping scales at 252 pounds, DJ's got the physical prowess and the arm to make a splash in the ACC.

📈 Elevating the 'Noles Offense

Uiagalelei is expected to enter in the locker room as a leader and a mentor.

With a vision to keep the offensive cogs turning smoothly, his addition is more than strategic—it's inspirational for the up-and-comers like Brock Glenn and the fresh face of Luke Kromenhoek.

FSU's playbook might just get a new set of audibles with DJ calling the shots.

👏 Praise and Potential

When your predecessor tips his hat to the coaching staff and the team culture, you know you're walking into something special.

Jordan Travis praised the culture and staff at FSU to DJ on the phone which cemented the decision.

With Coach Norvell publicly sharing his excitement and the community buzzing, it's clear that DJ's arrival is seen as the dawn of a promising new chapter.

🛣 The Path Forward

As DJ sets his sights on Seminole stardom, the narrative extends beyond the 2024 season. This commitment symbolizes resilience, growth, and a collective stride towards excellence.

With aspirations of reaching the playoffs in college football and potentially the NFL, Uiagalelei's story is not just about touchdowns; it's about turning points, teamwork, and the triumphs that await.

As the Seminoles gear up for what's next, the community is all aboard the Uiagalelei express, ready for thrilling games and memorable moments.

😤 Seminoles' Reaction to Alabama's CFP Exit: A Mix of Vindication and Frustration

Well we heard from a lot of the players for the first time in a long time! The two college football playoff games were last night and the Alabama-Michigan contest was “a defensive” contest - which Alabama lost.

Or maybe the quarterback who was told by his own Offensive Coordinator to not play the position isn’t actually good enough to play in the playoff?

Here were some of our favorite reactions we saw:

And lastly - please click and listen to this one: 2 Michigan players talking about how they were honestly never scared of Alabama and were shocked that FSU didn’t get in the playoff moments after they won:

The reactions collectively paint a picture of a team and community united in their belief that they were overlooked and deserved better.

The loss by Alabama served as a moment of reflection and a rallying point for FSU players and fans alike, as they look towards vindicating themselves in the upcoming season.

As much as it was an opportunity to vent, it was also a moment of solidarity and a reminder of the Seminoles' resolve to prove their worth on the field.

And that’s a wrap!

There’s many more reactions to the playoff that we will likely post over the next few days.

For now, we salute The Battle’s End, Coach Norvell, the Huskies, and the Wolverines.

It’s going to be a great 2024 and we’re excited to have you with us. Go Noles!
