🏀🔥 FSU Men’s Hoops to Face Alabama in October Exhibition 🔥🏀

The Luke Loucks era officially tips off with a high-profile preseason showdown — Florida State will face Alabama in an exhibition game on October 16 in Birmingham.

📍 Details:
• Date: Thursday, October 16
• Time: 8 p.m. ET
• Location: Boutwell Auditorium (Birmingham, AL)
• 🎟️ Tickets: Available now

📊 Series History:
• All-time: Tied 8–8
• Last Meeting: FSU beat Alabama 60–51 in the 2009 Old Spice Classic

👩‍🦰 Bonus Matchup:
The women’s teams will also face off earlier that day at noon in the same venue.

🔑 Bottom Line:
A big early test for Loucks’ new-look squad — and a prime opportunity to build momentum before the regular season tips off.

⛏️💰️ Own a share in your own gold mine ⛏️ 💰️

This Company with a pre-money valuation of only C$3million is completing a C$3million seed equity raise for the restart of the fully permitted Gold Road mine in Arizona, USA. The current low company valuation offers near-term potential for a significant re-rating from the production start, a public quotation, and an additional one million ounces of gold exploration upside.

The cost to build Gold Road from scratch today would be close to US$100 million and management plans to grow production to 20,000 ounces of gold per year in 2025/26. In a strong gold price environment this could lead to a US$40+million EBITDA in 2026 and potential for a very healthy dividend yield paid in physical gold and silver.

Management has a proven track record and plans to go public in Q1 2026.

🏀🌪️ FSU Eyes 330-Pound Force Marcis Ponder in 2026 Class 🌪️🏀

One of the most physically dominant prospects in the rising senior class, Marcis Ponder is turning heads — and FSU remains in hot pursuit.

📍 The Latest:
• 6’11”, 330-pound center out of Gillion Academy
• No. 84 overall player in the 2026 class (247 Composite)
• Starred at DMV Live with monster rebounding performances
• Still open in his recruitment — no visits yet, decision expected by December

🏫 Top Schools:
• Florida State, Maryland, Miami, Indiana, UCF, Butler, Providence

🧠 What Matters to Ponder:
• Wants to be used as “a force” — rim protection, rebounding, physical presence
• Seeks a staff that will develop him through good and bad
• Culture and coach-player relationships matter just as much as fit

📊 DMV Live Recap:
• Averaged 15.5 PPG and 12.75 RPG across 4 games
• Totaled 19 offensive rebounds
• Praised for his balance, footwork, and motor — not just his size

🔑 Bottom Line:
FSU is in the thick of this one. A traditional big like Ponder could be the perfect anchor for the Noles’ 2026 class — if the relationship holds strong.

📊🔍 Position-by-Position Confidence Check: FSU’s 2026 Recruiting Class 🔍📊

FSU’s 2026 class has skyrocketed to No. 11 nationally after a summer surge — and with only a few targets left on the board, we’ve got a full breakdown of where things stand by position.

💥 QB: 3⭐ Jaden O’Neal
Confidence: 7/10
FSU rebounded well after losing Brady Smigiel, flipping O’Neal from Oklahoma. Fit questions linger, but this was a solid salvage job in a tough year.

💥 RB: 3⭐ Amari Thomas
Confidence: 5/10
Thomas is a strong local pickup — but South Carolina is pushing hard. With no backup plan after striking out on other top RBs, the position feels shaky.

💥 WR: 5 Commits (3 4⭐s + 2 3⭐s)
Confidence: 9/10
One of the class’s strongest groups. FSU beat out UGA, UF, Miami, and Auburn for its top pass-catchers and held on to key commits through June visits.

💥 TE: 4⭐ Xavier Tiller
Confidence: 7/10
A big-time win over Bama and Auburn for Tiller. The Noles are also in play for Miree and Kent — could get even better.

💥 OL: 3 Commits (All 3⭐s)
Confidence: 5/10
Solid group, but lacking blue-chip talent. Eyes are on Wilson Zierer and Da’Ron Parks — FSU needs one to upgrade the outlook here.

💥 DL: 4 Commits (including 4⭐ Earnest Rankins)
Confidence: 8/10
Headlined by Rankins and strong developmental upside in Cadeau. This group is deep and trending well.

💥 EDGE: 0 Commits
Confidence: 3/10
Chris Addison flipped to MSU. Katrell Webb could change things this weekend — otherwise, the board is thin.

💥 LB: 2 Commits
Confidence: 6/10
LaVallee and Maycock are underrated sleepers, but FSU needs to land Rodney Colton or Duyon Forkpa Jr. this weekend to call it a success.

💥 DB: 5 Commits (including 5⭐ Chauncey Kennon)
Confidence: 8/10
Versatile and talented unit led by elite flip Kennon. DB room is loaded with speed, range, and positional flexibility.

🔑 Bottom Line:
The class has major star power at WR and DB, but holes remain at EDGE and OL. If FSU can close on a few key targets this month, it could crack the Top 10 and solidify one of the strongest cycles in recent memory.

And that’s a wrap!

From academic accolades to recruiting battles and a heavyweight hoops exhibition, today’s headlines prove that FSU’s pursuit of excellence never takes a day off.

If Lottie Woad’s legacy doesn’t inspire you, we’re not sure what will. And if Marcis Ponder ends up in Garnet and Gold? Good luck to opposing backboards.

Catch you tomorrow — same time, same grind.

✌️ Chief out.
