🏀 Steve Smith Joins Boston College Staff 🏀
FSU men's basketball assistant coach Steve Smith departs to join Boston College, reuniting with head coach Earl Grant. Smith contributed significantly to FSU's success over the past five seasons.

🏈 New Seminole Jersey Numbers and Measurements Revealed 🏈
FSU updated its roster, revealing jersey numbers and measurements for newcomers. Highlights include LB Cam Riley (No. 18, 6-5/245) and RB Micahi Danzy (No. 19, 6-1/180).

🏈 FSU Extends Offers to Elite Camp Standouts 🏈
Following FSU’s Elite Camp, several standout prospects received scholarship offers, including 2027 QB Trent Seaborn and 2025 OL Sean Poret. These offers highlight FSU's commitment to building a strong recruiting class.

Mirabel Ting

• Awards: Four-time All-American, All-ACC selection.

• Achievements: Individual champion at Valspar Augusta Invitational, 72.50 stroke average, five top-10 finishes.

• Transfer: From Augusta University, All-Southland Conference selection.

⚾️ FSU Baseball Adds Transfer Pitcher Joey Volini ⚾️

Florida State baseball has secured its third transfer portal commitment with USF's Joey Volini joining the team. Volini, a 6-foot-4, 253-pound left-handed pitcher, will be a redshirt junior in 2025.

Volini's addition marks FSU's continued effort to strengthen their roster, joining previous transfers Evan Chrest and Peyton Prescott from Jacksonville.

🏀 Dwayne Wimbley Jr. Commits to Florida State 🏀

Florida State basketball has landed a commitment from Dwayne Wimbley Jr., a three-star small forward from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale. Wimbley, standing at 6-foot-5, chose FSU over offers from TCU, Samford, Florida Gulf Coast, and others.

• Commitment: Wimbley expressed his love for FSU's campus and the city of Tallahassee, citing a strong connection with the coaching staff, particularly with Coach Hamilton and Coach Jones, who coached his father at UM.

• Playing Style: Describing himself as a versatile player, Wimbley highlights his defensive mindset, ability to guard multiple positions, and scoring versatility.

• Excitement: Wimbley promises to bring "high flying dunks and aggressive defense" to FSU, aiming to contribute to FSU's first national championship in basketball.

⚾ FSU vs. Tennessee in College World Series Opener ⚾

Florida State (47-15) will face No. 1 Tennessee (55-12) in their College World Series opener on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. ET, televised on ESPN. This marks FSU's 24th CWS appearance and first since 2019. The Seminoles swept UConn in the Super Regional, highlighted by James Tibbs III’s dramatic 12th-inning home run.

Bracket Breakdown:

• Bracket 1: FSU, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia.

• Bracket 2: Kentucky, Texas A&M, Florida, and the winner of Georgia vs. NC State.

Tennessee, led by Tony Vitello, has made back-to-back trips to the CWS for the first time in program history. They are the only SEC program to achieve this in the past four seasons. The No. 1 overall seed has not won the championship since 1999, adding to the intrigue.

Game Schedule:

• Friday: FSU vs. Tennessee at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

• Friday: UNC vs. Virginia at 2:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

• Saturday: Kentucky vs. the winner of UGA vs. NC State at 2:00 p.m. ET.

• Saturday: Florida vs. Texas A&M at 7:00 p.m. ET.

If FSU wins, they'll play Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. If they lose, they'll play the afternoon game at 2:00 p.m. The CWS Finals will be a best-of-three series from June 22-24. FSU is seeking their first national championship in program history.

🏀 Steve Smith Joins Boston College Staff 🏀

Florida State men's basketball assistant coach Steve Smith is leaving the Seminoles for Boston College, reuniting with Eagles' head coach Earl Grant, whom he worked with at Clemson. Smith spent five successful seasons at FSU, contributing to the Sweet 16 run in 2021, the 2020 ACC Championship, and recruiting the nation's No. 2 class.

Career Highlights at FSU and Clemson:

• Helped FSU win the ACC Championship in 2020 and reach the Sweet 16 in 2021.

• Coached at Clemson during their Sweet 16 run in 2018.

• Instrumental in recruiting and player development, contributing to multiple 20-win seasons at both FSU and Clemson.

Personal and Philanthropy:

• Established "Steve Smith's Shooting Stars" to support underserved children in Hampton County, SC.

🏈 FSU Extends Offers to Elite Camp Standouts 🏈

Following the conclusion of Florida State's Elite Camp, several new scholarship offers were extended to standout prospects.

2027 QB Trent Seaborn: Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson quarterback impressed with his precision and arm strength, earning an offer. He has passed for 3,778 yards with 42 touchdowns in his freshman and eighth grade seasons and holds nearly 20 offers, including from Alabama and Auburn.

2025 OL Sean Poret: The Atlanta (Ga.) Riverwood lineman received an offer after showcasing his athleticism. FSU has been evaluating him since the spring, and his performance at camp solidified the offer. Poret's offer list includes Boston College, Duke, and Vanderbilt.

2026 OL Michael Ionata: Clearwater (Fla.) Calvary Christian standout earned an offer. Standing at 6-foot-6, 290 pounds, Ionata impressed with his technique and ability. His family has a legacy at FSU, with his uncle and father being former players.

2026 OL Jai'Vale Fredericks: Daphne (Ala.) lineman earned an offer with his good measurements and footwork. He has offers from Alabama A&M, Austin Peay, and Tulane, with interest from major programs like Alabama and Auburn.

2028 OL Hunter Hill: Fort Valley (Ga.) Peach County's 6-foot-3, 300-pound lineman earned his first offer from FSU. Hill has a strong family football background, with his uncle playing for the Cincinnati Bengals.

2026 EDGE Jake Kreul: Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore's four-star edge rusher earned an offer. Kreul is known for his quickness and frame utilization, making him a top prospect with an extensive offer list.

2027 LB Jake Godfree: Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett linebacker received an offer after showcasing his physicality and speed. Godfree's offer list already includes more than a dozen schools.

2026 DB Chauncey (CJ) Davis Jr.: Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett cornerback earned an offer. Davis is a strong, competitive cornerback with offers from UConn, Michigan State, and USF.
