June marks the start of the official visit season for top football recruits in the 2025 class. This weekend, prospects from Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina are making key visits. Here are five storylines to watch:
1. Clemson’s One-Weekend Strategy Clemson hosts its only summer official visit weekend, aiming to secure commitments from top targets like No. 1 OT David Sanders Jr. and four-star safety Jordan Young. This strategy, while risky, could pay off if the Tigers make a strong impression.
2. Georgia’s Recruiting Fireworks Georgia aims to fill its 2025 class with elite talent. This weekend's guest list includes five-star LB Zayden Walker and four-stars Travis Smith (WR) and Juan Gaston (OT). Georgia is seen as a frontrunner for these prospects, but competition remains fierce.
3. 5-Star OT Josh Petty’s Visits Josh Petty, a top offensive tackle, has reshuffled his visit schedule. While Florida State remains a strong contender, Petty's visits to Ohio State and Stanford this month will be crucial in his decision-making process.
4. QB Julian Lewis and Antwann Hill’s Destinations Julian Lewis visits Indiana this weekend, with subsequent trips to USC, Auburn, and Colorado. Antwann Hill is set to visit Florida, with Memphis and UCF also in the mix. These visits will be pivotal for both quarterbacks' recruitment.
5. Additional Prospects to Watch Other notable visits include Trajen Odom at Ohio State, Duke Johnson at UCF, and Malik Clark at South Carolina. Each of these recruits could significantly impact their future programs.
