Exciting News: Florida State diver Samantha Vear has advanced to the final of the womenโ€™s 3-meter event at the U.S. Olympic Trials, held at the University of Tennessee.

Preliminary Success: Vear finished 15th in the prelims with a score of 223.25 after five dives, securing her spot in the semifinals.

Semifinal Achievement: In the semifinals, Vear delivered strong performances, scoring above 50 points on four out of five dives, and placed 11th with a total score of 262.95, thus advancing to the final.

Finals Info: The Conroe, Texas native will compete in the final on Saturday at 7 p.m. Catch the action live on NBC and Peacock.

Other Seminoles in Action: Mason Herbet is set to compete in the 100 fly to conclude the U.S. Swimming Olympic Trials, while Katrina Young will participate in the platform diving event at the U.S. Olympic Diving Trials on Friday.

๐ŸŒŸ Jeremiah Davis Named ACC Men's Outdoor Field Performer of the Year ๐ŸŒŸ

Outstanding Achievement: After winning the ACC Indoor Field Performer of the Year in 2024 and 2023, Jeremiah Davis has now been named the ACC Men's Outdoor Field Performer of the Year, as announced by the conference on Thursday.

Historical Milestone: Davis becomes the third Seminole in program history to capture this prestigious award for the outdoor season, joining Isaac Grimes (2021) and FSU Athletics Hall of Fame member Ngoni Makusha (2011).

Consistent Excellence: Davis is the first ACC student-athlete to receive the ACC Field Performer of the Meet for three consecutive seasons, having won gold in both the long jump and triple jump at the 2024 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Championship Performance:

  • Long Jump: Repeated as ACC Champion with a mark of 7.95m (26-1ยพ).

  • Triple Jump: Claimed the title with a mark of 16.71m (54-10), the first time since 2018 for FSU.

NCAA Success: Davis won silver in the long jump (8.07m, 26-5ยพ) and took fourth in the triple jump (16.62m, 54-6ยฝ) at the NCAA Outdoor Championship, earning his 10th and 11th career All-American honors.

A program record 15 Florida State softball players were named to the All-ACC Academic Team, surpassing the previous record of 12 set last season. This achievement highlights FSU's commitment to academic excellence alongside athletic performance.

  • Devyn Flaherty: Fourth consecutive All-ACC Academic honor, Master's in Sport Management, 3.89 GPA, CSC Third Team Academic All-American.

  • Participation in at least 50% of team contests and 20% for pitchers.
