šŸ“ŗ Jimbo Fisher returns to the ACC—but this time on TV. The former FSU head coach joins ACC Network’s ACC Huddle as a weekly studio analyst while the traveling show gears up for marquee game stops this fall.

šŸŸļø ACC enforces new injury report rules & storming fines. Commissioner Jim Phillips rolled out NFL-style availability reports for football, basketball, and baseball—and hefty fines for schools when fans storm the field or court.

šŸˆ FSU reshapes its EDGE board again. The Seminoles offered NC State commit Elijah Satchell, a versatile New Jersey pass rusher who becomes the latest late-cycle target.

šŸˆ 2027 WR Julius Jones keeps FSU in the mix. The St. Thomas Aquinas star with Notre Dame family ties is taking his time with recruitment while weighing heavy hitters like Miami, LSU, Oregon, and the Seminoles.

šŸˆ FSU first in line for 2027 EDGE Chris Whitehead. The Virginia pass rusher saw his phone blow up at midnight on June 15—with the Seminoles leading the early charge before Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Tennessee jumped in.

• Coached countless All-Americans like Jameis Winston, Jalen Ramsey, and Dalvin Cook

šŸ’„ ACC Huddle Goes On Tour

• Week 2: Duke vs. Illinois (Sept. 6, Noon, ABC/ESPN)
• Week 3: Georgia Tech vs. Clemson (Sept. 13, Noon, ABC/ESPN)

šŸŽÆ Big Picture

šŸŸļøšŸ“‹ ACC to Add Injury Reports & Fines for Field Stormings in 2025-26 šŸ“‹šŸŸļø

ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips announced two major policy changes coming for the 2025-26 season—mandatory injury reports and a fine structure for court and field stormings—during the ACC Kickoff presser in Charlotte.

šŸ’„ New Injury Report Rules
• Football: Reports released two days before games (typically Thursdays), plus updates one day prior & on game day
• Basketball & Baseball: Reports posted on the ACC website 24 hours before tipoff/first pitch with updates up to 2 hours before
• Availability will mirror NFL-style categories: probable, questionable, doubtful, out
• No fines yet for ā€œlate or untruthfulā€ reports

šŸ’„ Field/Court Storming Fines
• $50,000 for first offense
• $100,000 for second offense
• $200,000 for third offense
• Timeline resets every 2 years
• Focus is on player & coach safety—visiting teams must safely exit before fans are allowed

šŸ’„ Loopholes & Notable Cases
• Clemson’s ā€œGathering at the Pawā€ tradition will continue—fans can enter the field after visiting players/coaches exit
• Other programs could follow similar post-game timing to avoid fines while keeping traditions alive

šŸŽÆ Big Picture
The ACC is tightening up game-day safety while bringing more transparency with injury info—moves that bring the league closer to NFL-style protocols.

šŸˆšŸ”„ FSU Offers 3⭐ EDGE & NC State Commit Elijah Satchell šŸ”„šŸˆ

Florida State continues to reshape its EDGE recruiting board, extending a new offer to NC State commit Elijah Satchell, a rising talent out of Camden (N.J.) Eastside.

šŸ’„ Recruitment Snapshot
• Committed to NC State just two weeks ago over Kentucky, Stanford & Northwestern
• FSU offer announced on X.com, tagging DL coach Terrance Knighton
• Now joins a growing list of EDGE targets FSU is actively pursuing late in the cycle

šŸ’„ Player Profile
• 6’2ā€, 230 lbs with versatility to play both DL & EDGE
• Junior season: 57 tackles, 2 sacks in 7 games
• Ranked No. 147 defensive lineman in the 2026 class by 247Sports

šŸ’„ Big Picture
Satchell becomes the fourth EDGE rusher FSU has elevated on its board in recent weeks, showing the staff’s continued urgency to find impact pass rushers after early summer misses.

šŸˆāœØ 2027 WR Julius Jones Talks Recruitment, FSU in the Mix āœØšŸˆ

St. Thomas Aquinas standout Julius Jones, one of Florida’s top 2027 receivers, already has offers coast-to-coast—and Florida State is firmly in the mix.

šŸ’„ Recruitment Snapshot
• Visited Oregon twice this spring/summer—Ducks are among the leaders
• Miami, LSU, Florida & Florida State making strong pushes
• Notre Dame has sentimental ties—his father is an alum and former Irish star

šŸ’„ Family Ties vs. Open Options
• Notre Dame was Jones’ childhood favorite, but his dad isn’t pressuring him to follow in his footsteps
• Says his father gives guidance on academics & life after football but is ā€œnot too persistentā€ about ND

šŸ’„ What’s Next?
• Jones visited FSU, Florida & LSU this year and plans more trips
• No early decision coming—he wants to weigh all options carefully and commit once, without second-guessing

šŸŽÆ Big Picture
Jones is a priority for several national powers, and with Miami & Florida close to home, FSU will need to stay aggressive to keep him in play for the 2027 cycle.

šŸˆšŸ”„ 2027 EDGE Chris Whitehead Talks FSU & National Attention šŸ”„šŸˆ

One of Virginia’s top 2027 pass rushers, Chris Whitehead of Lloyd C. Bird HS, has seen his recruitment take off—and Florida State was first in line.

šŸ’„ FSU Leads the Charge
• The Seminoles were the first to call at midnight on June 15
• Whitehead spoke directly with OL coach Dmitri ā€œMeechā€ Emmanuel

šŸ’„ Big-Time Interest Rolling In
• Shortly after FSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee & Penn State reached out
• Louisville surprised him with an offer on the first night of contact

šŸ’„ Early Impressions
• Visited Ohio State this spring—loved the live QB drills & high-energy practice
• Experienced Tennessee’s upset over Alabama last fall—called it a ā€œwild nightā€ watching the Vols’ fans storm the field
• Notre Dame has stayed involved, with head coach Marcus Freeman personally connecting with him

šŸŽÆ Big Picture
It’s early, but FSU’s quick move to contact Whitehead first could pay off as he sorts through a growing list of national offers. Expect him to be one of the most coveted 2027 EDGE prospects in the country.

And that’s a wrap!

From Jimbo Fisher trading the headset for the studio mic, to the ACC cracking down on injury reports and field-storming fines, to FSU’s nonstop recruiting hustle—it’s clear the season is heating up even before kickoff.

Catch you tomorrow with more Noles updates, ACC storylines, and recruiting buzz.
