Florida State Volleyball released its full 2025 schedule, featuring 9 NCAA Tournament teams, 2 Final Four squads (Pitt, Louisville), and a coast-to-coast challenge for the Seminoles.
📅 Key Dates:
• Aug. 22 – Garnet & Gold Scrimmage (Tully Gym, 6 PM)
• Aug. 29–30 – Season Opener @ Jacksonville (UIC, UNF)
• Sept. 14 – Home Opener vs. Auburn (2 PM)
• Oct. 12 – Showdown vs. Final Four team Pitt at Tully
• Nov. 8 – Rivalry match vs. Miami in Tallahassee
• Nov. 13 – Road test at NCAA runner-up Louisville
🔥 Marquee Opponents:
• SMU (Oct. 10 & Nov. 26)
• Pitt (Oct. 12)
• Stanford (Oct. 16)
• Louisville (Nov. 13)
🌍 The Road Ahead:
• 6 of first 8 matches on the road
• 4 straight home matches in late October
• 3 of final 4 matches in Tully Gym
🔑 Bottom Line:
With an SEC-heavy non-conference slate and ACC gauntlet featuring national powerhouses, FSU Volleyball will have every chance to prove it belongs on the national stage.
This Company with a pre-money valuation of only C$3million is completing a C$3million seed equity raise for the restart of the fully permitted Gold Road mine in Arizona, USA. The current low company valuation offers near-term potential for a significant re-rating from the production start, a public quotation, and an additional one million ounces of gold exploration upside.
The cost to build Gold Road from scratch today would be close to US$100 million and management plans to grow production to 20,000 ounces of gold per year in 2025/26. In a strong gold price environment this could lead to a US$40+million EBITDA in 2026 and potential for a very healthy dividend yield paid in physical gold and silver.
Management has a proven track record and plans to go public in Q1 2026.

Florida State has officially flipped four-star defensive back Jay Timmons from Indiana — marking another high-profile recruiting win in a summer surge for the ‘Noles.
📍 Player Profile:
• 5'11", 185 lbs | Pittsburgh, PA
• No. 23 CB nationally | No. 9 player in Pennsylvania (247Sports)
• 42 tackles | 4 INTs | 3 FFs | 755 receiving yards (2023)
🌟 The Backstory:
• Son of FSU legend Lawrence Timmons
• Earned an offer from Mike Norvell after shining at FSU’s Elite Camp in June
• Visited Tallahassee four times in the past year
• Committed to Indiana until this past weekend’s official visit flipped the script
🗣 Timmons on FSU:
“It’s been a dream since I was a kid... I’ve never been a big sports fan, but I’ve always been a Florida State fan.”
🧠 Coaching Staff Impact:
• Heavy recruiting push from Patrick Surtain Sr., Evan Cooper, and DC Tony White
• Prioritized immediately following his scholarship offer — and the results followed
🔑 Bottom Line:
FSU lands a legacy with serious upside and ball production. Timmons brings physicality, instincts, and family history — and becomes a cornerstone piece of a rapidly rising 2026 defensive class.

Florida State is firmly in the mix for four-star IMG Academy defensive lineman Cameron Brickle, who will announce his college commitment this Saturday at 2 p.m. ET. The Seminoles are battling Ohio State, Penn State, and Maryland for the 6’2”, 305-pounder.
📍 Player Profile:
• 6’2”, 305 lbs | IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL)
• Originally from Philadelphia | Played at Malvern Prep (PA) & Santa Margarita Catholic (CA)
• Known for quickness, leverage, and gap penetration as a 3-tech
🧠 Key Decision Factors:
• Scheme fit: Brickle prefers a 4–3 front where he can thrive as a quick, disruptive 3-technique — not a nose guard
• Development focus: “It’s about becoming the man they want to turn me into, on and off the field”
• FSU left a strong impression during his June official visit
🗣 Brickle on FSU:
“Florida State came in later, but I still have great connections there… That’s why they’re high on my list.”
📅 Commitment Announcement:
• Saturday, June 29 at 2 p.m. ET
🔑 Bottom Line:
FSU may have entered late, but the staff made up ground quickly. With scheme fit and personal development as top priorities, Brickle could be the next key piece in FSU’s defensive rebuild — if the ‘Noles can edge out heavyweights like Ohio State and Penn State.
🎯 5⭐ LB Xavier Griffin Wraps OV — FSU Takes Final Swing 🎯

Florida State hosted five-star linebacker Xavier Griffin for an official visit this past weekend — the final stop before his June 29 decision. The Georgia standout is the No. 2 linebacker and No. 27 overall player in the country (On3 Industry Rankings).
📍 Recruitment Snapshot:
• 6’3”, 205 lbs | Gainesville (GA)
• Finalists: FSU, Alabama, Texas, Ohio State
• Third visit to FSU this year (Junior Day, Spring, Official)
🔬 What Stood Out:
• Deep dive into Tony White’s flexible defensive scheme — a major priority for Griffin
• Wants to play both edge and traditional linebacker
• Mike Norvell’s energy and player relationships left a strong impression
🧠 Status Check:
• Alabama and Texas still viewed as the front-runners
• FSU made a strong late push and got the last visit — a key advantage in elite recruitments
📅 Decision Date: Saturday, June 29
🔑 Bottom Line:
FSU has done everything it can in this recruitment — including getting the final word. With positional fit, culture, and a clear role pitched to Griffin, the ‘Noles are now hoping for a late-stage upset in a high-profile battle.
🏀 Jamir Watkins Projected as 2nd-Round Pick in 2025 NBA Draft 🏀
NBA teams are always in the market for two-way wings like Jamir Watkins who can wreak havoc defensively and do a little bit of everything offensively.
— Jacob Myers (@League_Him)
6:08 PM • May 28, 2025
Former Florida State guard Jamir Watkins is expected to hear his name called this week during the 2025 NBA Draft, with multiple outlets projecting him as a second-round selection.
📅 Draft Schedule:
• Round 1 → Wednesday, June 25 | 8 PM ET on ABC/ESPN
• Round 2 → Thursday, June 26 | 8 PM ET on ESPN
• 📍 Location: Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY
• 🏀 Total Picks: 59
📈 Watkins at FSU (2024–25):
• 18.4 PPG | 5.7 RPG | 2.4 APG | 1.2 SPG
• 42.7% FG | 32.1% 3PT | 74.7% FT
• Started all 32 games | 30.9 minutes per game
📊 Draft Projections:
• No. 36 – Brooklyn Nets (ESPN)
• No. 40 – Washington Wizards (Yahoo): “Versatile shot creator and defender… elite switchability”
• No. 48 – Memphis Grizzlies (Tankathon)
• No. 50 – New York Knicks (The Athletic): “A jumper away from impact player status”
• No. 57 – Orlando Magic (NBADraft.net)
🔑 Bottom Line:
Watkins is seen as a rugged, versatile two-way guard with upside. His shot consistency remains a question, but scouts love his size, motor, and switchable defense. After three years without a draftee, FSU looks poised to end the drought.
And that’s a wrap!
This week proved that legacy matters — and so does momentum.
With Jay Timmons officially flipped, Xavier Griffin’s decision looming, and the volleyball and draft seasons heating up, Florida State’s summer isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
And with Jamir Watkins poised to end the ‘Noles’ NBA Draft drought and Xavier Tiller cementing the 2026 offensive core, the pieces are moving fast.
Let’s keep building.
