🏈 Chase Loftin Commits to Florida State 🏈
Four-star tight end Chase Loftin, a standout from Omaha, Nebraska, has committed to Florida State, choosing the Seminoles over Nebraska, Texas A&M, and Missouri. The 6-foot-6, 215-pound prospect is ranked as the No. 2 player in Nebraska and one of the top tight ends in the 2025 class.
Why FSU?
Loftin highlighted the strong relationships he built with the coaching staff, stating, "Florida State is home for me because of the people." He praised head coach Mike Norvell and tight ends coach Chris Thomsen, whose longstanding connection with his family played a pivotal role. "All the coaches showed tons of love," Loftin noted.
Official Visits and Impressions:
Despite visiting FSU only twice compared to multiple trips to Nebraska, Loftin felt at home in Tallahassee. He was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and the campus, describing it as "the nicest campus I’ve ever been on." The official visit on June 7th solidified his decision, where he appreciated the resources and the program's winning tradition.
Versatility on the Field:
Loftin’s versatility as a tight end is a significant asset. Over the past two seasons, he recorded 73 receptions for 1,017 yards and 11 touchdowns. FSU plans to utilize him as a receiving tight end with potential to grow into an in-line role as he develops physically.

Brady Smigiel, Florida State's recent four-star quarterback commit for the 2026 class, shared insights in a recent interview with Noles247 following his decision. Here are the highlights:
Why FSU?
Smigiel emphasized the personal relationships, stating, "Just coach (Mike) Norvell and coach (Tony) Tokarz, you really feel like they take care of you there. It's really not just recruiting, and it's really personal over there. I don't think it matters if you're a walk on or how much money you're making, they're going to treat you the same no matter where you're at."
Excitement About FSU’s Offense:
He described the offense as "extremely explosive, really exciting, does not really care, going to go deep, will throw a couple trick plays in there." He praised the detail in play installation, noting, "Having coach Tokarz sit in the quarterback room and seeing them install plays... it's really cool to see."
Recruiting Others:
On recruiting other talents, he said, "If I can, then why not? I have some good friends out in California, and I think the biggest thing is people not visiting Florida State… They don't really look at Florida State, but once you get out to Florida State, then you understand. So I think getting guys to go out and visit will be the biggest thing, then Florida State will talk for itself.”
On His Game:
Smigiel mentioned, "I have a good arm, and I'm accurate, but I think my feet can get me in trouble sometimes." He also highlighted his off-field leadership, stating, "Just getting to know everybody, no matter what position you are... I think that would be the best part of my game."
Looking Ahead:
Feeling at home in Tallahassee, he shared, "I get the same feeling walking in my front door as I do when I walk into that FSU facility." He plans to return for visits, adding, "If I need to recruit, I'll go out there on a day's notice."

With impressive junior year stats and a commitment to bringing top recruits to FSU, Jones is poised to be a cornerstone of the Seminoles' 2025 class.
🎙️ Anticipation Builds for DJ Uiagalelei at ACC Kickoff 🎙️
As the ACC Kickoff approaches, all eyes are on new FSU quarterback DJ Uiagalelei. The former Clemson standout aims to unlock his potential under Coach Mike Norvell, setting the stage for an exciting season.
Key Storylines:
New Beginnings: Uiagalelei, who transferred from Oregon State, is expected to thrive in a system tailored to his strengths. After showcasing his arm strength and playmaking ability, he looks to fit seamlessly into Norvell's offense.
Expert Insights: ESPN analyst Roddy Jones recently spoke to Warchant.com about the importance of the Uiagalelei-Norvell collaboration, emphasizing Norvell’s history of developing quarterbacks with diverse skill sets. “The question of the year in the ACC is how DJ and Mike work together,” Jones stated.
Offensive Evolution: ACC Network’s Eric Mac Lain praised Norvell’s plan to adapt the offense for Uiagalelei, focusing on deep shots and quarterback power plays. Mac Lain noted, "He’s gonna run what’s best for DJ and what’s best for that team."
Past Performance and Future Potential:
Uiagalelei’s career began with impressive performances at Clemson but struggled with consistency, leading to a transfer. At Oregon State, he thrived with more opportunities for downfield throws, improving his yards-per-completion significantly.
Looking Forward:
With a focus on improving mechanics and footwork, Uiagalelei is poised to make a significant impact at FSU. Both Jones and Mac Lain believe Norvell can help him reach new heights, much like he did with former quarterback Jordan Travis. The Seminole faithful eagerly await Uiagalelei’s debut, hoping to see flashes of the brilliance he displayed early in his career.
And that’s a wrap!
With exciting commitments and new talent on the horizon, the future looks bright for the Seminoles.
Stay connected and watch as FSU continues its climb to greatness.
Go Noles! 🍢
