🏆 Lodise Named Finalist for Dick Howser Trophy 🏆

The awards keep rolling in for Florida State shortstop Alex Lodise — and this might be the biggest yet.

Lodise has been named a finalist for the Dick Howser Trophy, given annually to the nation’s top college baseball player by the NCBWA. He’s now a finalist for all three major honors in the sport: the Golden Spikes Award, Brooks Wallace Award, and Dick Howser Trophy — the only player in the ACC recognized on any of those lists.

💣 Lodise’s Historic 2025:
• .405 AVG | 92 hits | 17 HR | 67 RBI | .736 SLG | .473 OBP
• 30 multi-hit games, 13 of them with 3+ hits
• 7 game-winners, including a walk-off cycle vs. Florida
• Perfect 6-for-6 in stolen bases
• Just 5 errors in 205 chances (.976 FLD%)
• Team captain, midseason National Player of the Year
• Leads FSU into its second straight Super Regional this weekend

📚 Off the Field:
• Mentors middle school students through FSU’s CGS Leadership Academy
• Volunteers weekly — helping with homework and recess at a local school

Next stop: Corvallis. And if Lodise keeps hitting, Omaha may not be far behind.

⛳ Amy Bond Named South Region Coach of the Year ⛳

Another massive honor for Florida State’s historic women’s golf season — and this one goes to the leader at the top.

Amy Bond has been named the South Region Coach of the Year by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association, adding to an already glittering 2025 résumé. Bond guided the Seminoles to their first-ever ACC title, a program-best third-place finish at the NCAA Championships, and a national No. 2 ranking by the WGCA.

🏆 Bond’s 2025 Accolades:
• ACC Coach of the Year (2nd time)
• South Region WGCA Coach of the Year
• Finalist for WGCA National Coach of the Year
• Recipient of the Gladys Palmer Meritorious Service Award — WGCA’s highest honor

📈 A Season to Remember:
• First ACC title in program history
• No. 1 NCAA Regional seed (first time ever)
• Tied for most wins nationally (6)
• Seven top-3 finishes — most in the country
• Only 12 teams beat FSU across 11 events

🌟 Player Development:
• Coached Mirabel Ting (2025) and Lottie Woad (2024) to ACC Golfer of the Year honors
• Both named First-Team All-Americans by WCGA and Golfweek
• Ting: 2025 ANNIKA Award & WGCA Player of the Year

Under Bond, FSU has become a perennial powerhouse, appearing in nine straight NCAA Championships and reaching match play in 2022, 2023, and 2025. She is the winningest coach in program history — and just getting started.

🐤 FSU Legend James Ramsey Named Georgia Tech Head Coach 🐤

One of the greatest Noles of the 2010s is taking over in Atlanta.

👀 Top Talent Shines at FAU/FSU Prospect Camp 👀

It’s camp season, and the Noles are on the recruiting trail.

Florida State teamed up with FAU on Wednesday to host a two-session prospect camp in Boca Raton — and the talent on display didn’t disappoint. From 2026 standouts to rising 2029 stars, here are a few names that turned heads:

🔥 Session 1 Highlights:
QB Dorian Fauntleroy (2027, Jupiter Christian) – Strong arm, college-ready frame; already holds offers from Arkansas, UCF & WKU.
DL Judah Daniels (2026, Fort Myers) – Recently picked up his first offer… from FSU. Moves extremely well at 6’3”, 265 lbs.
OT Alejandro Schmitt (2026, West Broward) – Towering at 6’6”, 300 lbs, with a growing list of offers (UF, Pitt, WVU).
WR Noah Flores (2027, Melbourne Central Catholic) – Blistered the fastest 40 of the day: a scorching 4.50.
WR Jayden Elder (2027, Spanish River) – Showed off smooth hands and route running.
WR James Jones (2029, Atlantic) – One of the youngest participants but stood out with maturity and skill.

💪 Session 2 Standouts:
QB Chance Routson (2026, Palm Beach Central) – Commanded the field, dominated 1-on-1s; offers from FAU, FIU, Navy & more.
QB Jack Spaeder (2027, West Broward) – Made multiple jaw-dropping throws; rising fast in Florida’s ’27 QB ranks.
TE Trae Proctor (2027, Miami Norland) – Matchup nightmare. Coached up by Cris Carter. Offers from FSU, Miami, FAU & more.
DB Sebastian Polynice (2026, Centennial) – Elite ball skills and physicality; came away with several PBU’s and a pick.
WR Michael Ceville-Rogers (2029, IMG) – At 14 years old and 6’3”, he dominated like a varsity vet. Offers from Syracuse & Sac State.

Expect some of these names to start popping up more frequently in FSU’s recruiting orbit — and maybe a few garnet and gold futures among them.

🎯 10 Recruits to Watch Ahead of FSU’s Massive Official Visit Weekend 🎯

The recruiting heat is about to crank up in Tallahassee.

Florida State is hosting its second major official visit weekend of June — and this one’s a monster. Eighteen high-profile prospects will be on campus from June 6–8, and the Seminoles are aiming to make major moves on the trail.

Here are the Top 10 most important visitors:

🔟 S J’Zavien Currence (4⭐)
A longtime South Carolina commit, the 6’3”, 205-pound safety is giving FSU a final shot to flip him. Not a position of need — but the staff won’t pass on his elite talent.

9️⃣ DT Cameron Brickle (3⭐)
Underrated trench target with recent interest from Ohio State. FSU hopes to solidify itself as a real contender this weekend.

8️⃣ WR Brandon Bennett (4⭐)
Speed demon from South Florida. FSU is battling Georgia and Florida — and will look to surge after Bennett’s recent UGA visit.

7️⃣ RB Carsyn Baker (4⭐)
A top target who fits Gus Malzahn’s offense. FSU trails Florida for now but has a legit shot to close the gap.

6️⃣ CB Samari Matthews (4⭐)
One of the top corners in the class, but FSU has work to do. A strong visit could vault the ‘Noles back into contention.

5️⃣ LB Rodney Colton Jr. (4⭐)
FSU has built momentum here — and needs to hold off Tennessee, Penn State, and Ole Miss. Big weekend for linebacker recruiting.

4️⃣ OT Aaron Thomas (3⭐)
Legacy prospect out of Arizona. FSU is battling Texas, A&M, and Ohio State for the massive 6’7”, 300-pound lineman.

3️⃣ DL Earnest Rankins (4⭐)
One of FSU’s most crucial D-line targets. Georgia, Auburn, and OSU are also in the mix — and FSU needs to stand out.

2️⃣ LB TJ White (4⭐)
A top linebacker target who’s cooled on FSU since January. Tennessee and Auburn are rising — this weekend could change that.

1️⃣ WR Devin Carter (4⭐)
Auburn commit and son of FSU great Dexter Carter. With FSU’s current WR pledges under siege, flipping Carter would be massive.

🧠 Bottom Line:
This is a foundational weekend for FSU’s 2026 class. Keep an eye on flips, rising momentum, and position battles across the board.

And that’s a wrap!

That’s a wrap for today!

With Omaha in reach, top recruits on campus, and Noles legends making headlines, the Garnet & Gold machine is rolling. Whether it’s on the field, on the trail, or in the dugout, the energy around FSU is undeniable.

Catch you tomorrow — same time, same team.
