Here’s what we’ve got in today’s edition:

Super Regional Showdown

💰 Alford Reacts to NCAA Settlement
FSU’s AD embraces the new era of college athletics. With revenue sharing set to begin July 1, Florida State plans to stay ahead of the curve — and expand scholarships across nearly every sport.

🧱 Trenches Heating Up
FSU is in the lead for 6’5”, 295-pound DL Wihtlley Cadeau after a standout official visit. The ‘Noles could soon add their first defensive lineman in the 2026 class.

🤯 QB Recruiting Gridlock
The 2026 quarterback chase has hit turbulence. With top targets fading, all eyes now turn to Oklahoma commit Jaden O’Neal — and FSU must act fast to flip the script.

🏌️‍♀️ Ting Makes History
Mirabel Ting’s season was one for the ages: 5 wins, 68.77 average, and three national Player of the Year honors. FSU’s golf program has never flown higher.

🌏 An Offer from the Other Side of the World
Nikau Hepi — a 6’7”, 370-pound OT who just started playing football 8 months ago — lands an FSU offer during a surprise visit from Australia. This recruitment is anything but ordinary.

Let’s get into it 👇

⚾ FSU Forces Game 3 Behind Arnold & Prescott Masterclass ⚾

Clutch arms. Timely bats. Season still alive.

Florida State bounced back in Corvallis Saturday night, riding a dominant start from Jamie Arnold and electric relief from Peyton Prescott to beat Oregon State 3–1 and force a decisive Game 3 for a trip to Omaha.

🔥 Pitching Clinic:

  • Arnold: 6.2 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 9 K, 1 BB — shut down the Beavers after a rocky first inning.

  • Prescott: 2.0 IP, 0 H, 4 K, 1 BB — hit 100 mph and struck out the final three batters to seal it.

Prescott’s final pitch? A 99-mph frozen rope that sent Jacob Krieg — Friday’s hero — down looking to end it.

💥 Key Hits:

  • Max Williams: RBI single to tie it at 1–1 in the 3rd.

  • Gage Harrelson: Two-out, two-strike RBI single in the 7th to give FSU the lead.

  • Jaxson West: Bases-loaded walk in the 8th for insurance.

FSU’s bullpen preserved the lead this time — no ninth-inning collapse, no late-inning drama.

🕘 What’s Next:

  • Winner-take-all Game 3 vs. Oregon State

  • 9 PM ET Sunday

  • Wes Mendes gets the start

The trip to Omaha is 9 innings away.

💰 Alford Responds to NCAA Settlement Shake-Up 💰

The future is officially here — and Florida State is ready to lead.

After Judge Claudia Wilken approved the landmark House v. NCAA settlement on Friday, FSU Athletics Director Michael Alford issued a confident statement Saturday morning outlining the school’s plan to thrive in the new era of direct athlete compensation.

“We are excited and ready… Florida State is one of the nation’s elite brands and we intend to remain at the forefront in this new era.”

📈 What It Means:
• Starting July 1, FSU can distribute up to $20.5M/year in direct payments to student-athletes through a new revenue-sharing model.
Football is expected to receive the lion’s share — 75–85% — with most of the remainder split between basketball and other Olympic sports.
• $2.5M of the total will go toward expanding scholarships.

🚨 Major Roster Expansion:
The ruling brings new roster limits across the board. Here are some key jumps for FSU:

  • Football: 85 → 105

  • Baseball: 11.7 → 34

  • Men’s & Women’s Track: 12.6 & 18 → 45 each

  • Softball: 12 → 25

  • Women’s Soccer: 14 → 28

📊 Not every athlete will be on scholarship, but schools now have unprecedented flexibility in distributing aid.

🔍 NIL Oversight Incoming:
A new College Sports Commission will oversee compliance and revenue tracking. Deloitte and LBI are developing tech to audit NIL deals — especially those over $600 — through a clearinghouse called "NIL Go." Boosters beware: deals above market value will be scrutinized.

🧱 FSU Leads for 6’5” Georgia DL Wihtlley Cadeau 🧱

Florida State might be on the verge of landing a big piece for its 2026 class — literally and figuratively.

A 247Sports insider logged a Crystal Ball prediction in favor of FSU for Wihtlley Cadeau, a 6-foot-5, 295-pound defensive lineman out of Booker T. Washington in Atlanta. Cadeau is currently wrapping up a weekend-long official visit to Tallahassee — and the buzz is strong.

📝 Why It Matters:

  • Cadeau would be the first defensive lineman in FSU’s 2026 class.

  • He holds offers from Georgia, Florida, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Georgia Tech.

  • Rated an 88-grade high three-star by 247Sports — No. 65 DL nationally.

🔥 Fast Rise:
FSU offered Cadeau just a few weeks ago after DL coach Terrance Knighton evaluated him in May. That led to a quick official visit setup, and now the ‘Noles have surged to the front of the pack.

🏁 Competition:

  • Purdue and Georgia State are also hosting visits.

  • But FSU’s showing this weekend may have locked things down.

With nine commits already on board, FSU’s 2026 class sits at No. 27 nationally — and could soon be adding a major interior presence.

🤯 FSU’s 2026 QB Search Hits a Wall 🤯

Since losing four-star Brady Smigiel earlier this year, Florida State’s 2026 quarterback recruiting has been more strikeout than grand slam.

Mike Norvell’s staff came out swinging — offering top talents like Bowe Bentley, Keisean Henderson, and Landon Duckworth — but none have panned out. And as of now, the Seminoles are still searching for their guy.

🚫 What Went Wrong:

  • Bentley? Eliminated FSU after spring visits.

  • Henderson? Scheduled an official, then quickly reaffirmed his commitment to Houston.

  • Duckworth? Hasn’t visited since 2022 and just visited South Carolina — where 247’s Steve Wiltfong predicts he’ll commit.

🔦 Eyes on O’Neal:
That leaves one realistic option: Jaden O’Neal, an Oklahoma commit who visited Tallahassee in the spring. FSU has been the top threat to flip him, but there’s a twist.

  • If Bentley commits to Oklahoma, O’Neal might look elsewhere — which could open the door for the ‘Noles.

  • But if Bentley goes to LSU, O’Neal may stay put in Norman.

💡 What’s Next?
FSU can’t afford to sit back. O’Neal is the only high-level QB target showing consistent interest — and he's a fit for the offense. The staff needs to go full-court press now, not later.

🧭 Backup Plans?

  • Travis Burgess (UNC commit): Visited but never received an offer — now an Elite 11 finalist.

  • Zaid Lott (Syracuse commit): Reopened talks possible.

  • Luke Fahey (uncommitted): Still on the board after an offer last year.

  • Reclassify a 2027 QB? Jayce Johnson, Peyton Houston, and longtime target Trent Seaborn all have visited.

The path is murky — but standing still is not an option.

🏌️‍♀️ Mirabel Ting Named National Player of the Year 🏌️‍♀️

Mirabel Ting just put together one of the greatest seasons in college golf history — and the accolades keep rolling in.

🌏 From New Zealand to Doak: FSU Offers 6’7”, 370-Pound OT 🌏

Florida State just extended one of the most intriguing offers of the offseason — to Nikau Hepi, a towering offensive tackle prospect from the NFL Academy in Australia who picked up football just eight months ago.

The 6-foot-7, 370-pound New Zealand native visited FSU on Friday and earned a scholarship offer the very next day.

💡 Who Is Hepi?

  • Grew up in New Zealand, now lives in Australia.

  • Joined the NFL Academy Asia-Pacific after impressing at their first-ever combine.

  • Started playing football less than a year ago.

  • Picked up his first offer from Auburn in January and is now generating buzz stateside.

🎯 How FSU Got Involved:

  • Hepi wasn’t planning to visit FSU — until tight ends coach Chris Thomsen connected with him at the Kennesaw State Mega Camp.

  • That led to a spontaneous visit and a full campus tour.

  • Head coach Mike Norvell personally extended the offer after seeing the raw talent up close.

📅 What’s Next:
Hepi will return to Australia to discuss official visits with family. He’s planning January enrollment and is eyeing Zoom calls with both FSU and Auburn to plan his next move.

Other offers: Sacramento State, UAB, and Ottawa University.
Ranking: Unranked (for now) by 247Sports.

And that’s a wrap!

That’s all for now — but tonight could change everything.

FSU Baseball has 9 innings to punch its ticket to Omaha. Wes Mendes takes the ball. The bullpen is locked in. And the bats have delivered just enough.

We’ll be back tomorrow to break it all down. Win or lose, you won’t want to miss it.

In the meantime, keep an eye on:

  • Cadeau’s commitment buzz 📈

  • QB dominoes falling 🧠

  • And a 370-pound Kiwi with a dream ✈️

See you tomorrow. Go Noles.
