Florida State secured its 24th College World Series berth with a thrilling 10-8 win over UConn in extra innings. James Tibbs III shined with three home runs and six RBIs, leading the Seminoles to victory.

FSU's annual Elite Camp kicks off today, featuring a star-studded lineup of high school prospects. Key attendees include 5-star QB Dia Bell and 4-star DE Jaquavious Dodd, showcasing future stars of college football.

๐Ÿ† FSU Baseball Advances to College World Series ๐Ÿ†

Florida State (47-15) secured its 24th College World Series berth with a dramatic 10-8 extra-innings win over UConn (35-26) in the Tallahassee Super Regional.

Key Highlights:

- James Tibbs III: Three two-run home runs, five hits, and six RBIs, including the game-winning homer in the 12th inning. "Iโ€™m gonna end it right here," Tibbs told his teammate before his decisive hit.

- Conner Whittaker: Pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings of relief, allowing just one hit and striking out three.

- Jamie Arnold: Struck out nine in 5 1/3 innings, though UConn's scrappy at-bats forced his pitch count to 121.

This victory marks a significant turnaround under second-year head coach Link Jarrett, who has taken the Seminoles from a 23-31 record last year to a College World Series contender this season.

๐Ÿ Seminoles Selected for 2024 Beach Collegiate National Team ๐Ÿ

Florida State's Maddie Anderson, Audrey Koenig, Alexis Durish, and assistant coach Nick Lucena have been selected for the 2024 Beach Collegiate National Team. The team will train in Hermosa Beach, CA, from June 11-19.

Player Highlights:

  • Maddie Anderson: Finished her career with a 123-39 record, second all-time in FSU wins, and multiple All-American honors.

  • Audrey Koenig: Achieved a 30-8 record in her junior year, contributing to the team's success with numerous honors.

  • Alexis Durish: Posted a 29-7 record in her sophomore year, moving up to the top courts.

Coach Nick Lucena:

  • An accomplished beach volleyball player with Olympic experience and multiple AVP and FIVB tournament wins, Lucena has been instrumental in FSUโ€™s success since joining the coaching staff in 2022.

The selection of these Seminoles underscores the strength of FSU's beach volleyball program.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ FSU Men's Track and Field Shines at NCAA Championships ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Florida State's men's outdoor track and field team wrapped up the NCAA Outdoor Championships with impressive performances.

Athlete Highlights:

- Jeremiah Davis: Secured his second first-team All-America honor, finishing fourth in the men's triple jump with a leap of 16.62m (54-6ยฝ).

- Kyvon Tatham: Achieved a lifetime best jump of 16.30m (53-5ยพ), placing seventh and earning first-team All-American honors.

- David Mullarkey: Finished 18th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:05.77.

Coach's Praise:

"Jeremiah is a warrior," said head coach Bob Braman. "Kyvon had a huge lifetime best to earn All-American honors, working his way up the standings today is incredible." "I'm really proud of the men to rally up and finish top 20. Our kids and coaches kept focus and kept fighting."

Kentucky native with standout measurements. Louisville and Nebraska are pursuing him on different sides of the ball, while FSU will evaluate him as a tight end.

Sean Poret (2025, OL):

Atlanta prospect flying under the radar. FSU has shown strong interest and will be evaluating him closely. A strong showing could lead to a scholarship offer.

Dia Bell (2026, QB, 5-star):

5-star QB from Fort Lauderdale, recently offered by FSU. His performance at the camp will help the staff evaluate as they try to determine their top 2026 QB target.

Jyron Hughley (2026, QB/ATH, 4-star):

West Palm Beach standout, known for his athleticism. FSU will assess his potential as a quarterback at the next level.

Trenton Henderson (2026, DE, 4-star):

Recently ranked as the No. 4 Edge prospect. FSU was one of his first offers and getting him on campus should help build on our perceived early lead for his commitment.

Cam Brooks (2026, DE, 4-star):

Highly rated pass rusher from Georgia. Describes FSU as his leader, making his camp performance crucial for both sides.

Jake Kreul (2026, DE, 4-star):

Orlando prospect looking to earn an FSU offer. His performance will determine his future on FSUโ€™s DE board.

J'Zavien Currence (2026, DB, 4-star):

South Carolina native, recruited heavily by FSU. Coach Pat Surtain and the Seminoles have been pursuing Currence since before his rise in the rankings.

Kaiden Prothro (2026, WR, 5-star):

5-star from Georgia, seen as a versatile pass-catcher. FSU has prioritized him as a wide receiver (ร  la Johnny Wilson) while most other programs view him as more of a TE.

FSU's Elite Camp continues to be a pivotal event in recruiting, showcasing the future stars of college football. Mike Norvell, John Papuchis, Pat Surtain, and others will be on hand to assess talent and coach up the prospects.
