Florida State's annual Legacy Weekend not only celebrates the rich history and traditions of Seminole football but also plays a crucial role in shaping the future of the team.
This year's event proved to be a game-changer, with FSU making significant headway with several top recruits. Here's a look at five prospects who are now trending towards FSU, indicating a promising recruiting season for the Seminoles:
Byron Louis - 4-Star RB
Before his visit, Byron Louis was already eyeing FSU as a top choice among his collegiate options.
His recent trip to Tallahassee only solidified his interest, leaving him excited about the prospect of donning the garnet and gold.
With an official visit locked in for June, FSU now leads the chase, contending with Miami, Ohio State, and Penn State for this standout running back's commitment.
Myron Charles - 4-Star DT
Myron Charles's admiration for FSU and defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins was evident from our last conversation, and his visit for Legacy Weekend has only deepened that respect.
Conversations with FSU legends like Braden Fiske have left a lasting impression, positioning FSU as the frontrunner in his recruitment, despite stiff competition from Miami, Florida, Georgia, and others.
Vernell Brown - 4-Star WR
While Ohio State might still have a slight edge, Vernell Brown now places FSU alongside the Buckeyes at the top of his list.
The Seminoles are all-in on Brown, who has scheduled his official visit to FSU for the crucial final visit weekend of June. This visit could be decisive if Brown opts for a summer commitment.
Ziyare Addison - 4-Star OL
Ziyare Addison's recruitment has seen FSU make a significant surge, thanks in part to a highly positive visit and a longstanding relationship that outpaces other contenders.
With an official visit set for late June, Addison's ties to offensive line coach Alex Atkins could be the deciding factor for his commitment.
Zae Thomas - 4-Star DB
Zae Thomas, who has deep connections to the Seminole community and FSU staff, left Legacy Weekend feeling positive about his potential future with FSU.
Though he hasn't officially declared FSU as his leader, the ties to the university and his experiences during the visit make FSU a strong contender, with Miami and LSU also in the mix.
Legacy Weekend has once again proven its worth as a pivotal moment for FSU's recruiting efforts, setting the stage for what could be a transformative season for Seminole football.
As FSU continues to build on these relationships, the future looks bright for the garnet and gold.
And thatโs a wrap!
Whether on the diamond, the court, or making a splash, our Seminoles have shown what it means to compete with heart.
As we look forward to more thrilling performances, remember, every game is a chance to display that unwavering Seminole spirit.
Until next time, keep the cheers loud and the pride high.
