🏌️♀️ Coach Amy Bond Named to National Coach of the Year Watch List 🏌️♀️
History made. Titles won. And the job’s not done.
Florida State’s Amy Bond, the 2025 ACC Coach of the Year, has been named to the WGCA National Coach of the Year Watch List as her No. 2-ranked Seminoles tee off in the NCAA Championship Finals this Friday in Carlsbad, California.
📊 The résumé this season?
• 7 tournament wins (including ACC and NCAA Regional titles)
• A 123–8–1 head-to-head record — fifth-most wins in the nation, second-fewest losses
• Top-10 national ranking all spring
• A school-record 9th straight NCAA Championship Finals appearance
Bond, already the winningest coach in program history (26 titles), is now chasing FSU’s first national championship — with match play set to begin next week if the Noles advance out of stroke play.

Another major weapon joins the Noles.
Florida State Soccer has landed Enasia Colon, a dynamic senior midfielder/forward from Arizona State and a standout for Puerto Rico’s U-20 national team.
🇵🇷 Colon netted 5 goals in the 2023 CONCACAF U-20 Championship, including a multi-goal match vs. Costa Rica, and brings high-level experience to a program chasing another national title.
📊 At Arizona State:
• 57 appearances, 18 goals, 16 assists (52 points)
• Team leader in goals (2023) and assists (2024)
• All-Pac-12 Second Team (2023) & All-Big 12 Second Team (2024)
• Back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances
A Boynton Beach native and IMG Academy product, Colon is set to join the Garnet & Gold this fall — and she’s expected to make an immediate impact in FSU’s attacking third.

Mark your calendars — kickoff is locked.
Florida State will open its 2025 campaign against Alabama on Saturday, August 30 at 3:30 PM ET on ABC, per Action Network’s Brett McMurphy. The game will be played inside a newly-renovated Doak Campbell Stadium, setting the stage for one of the most high-profile openers in the country.
🔥 It’s the first of two meetings between the Noles and Tide across the 2025–2026 seasons — and both programs enter with fresh faces and renewed urgency.
• FSU debuts QB Thomas Castellanos, OC Gus Malzahn, and DC Tony White after a rocky 2–10 campaign
• Alabama enters Year 2 under Kalen DeBoer, who went 9–4 in 2024
• Both teams will break in new starting quarterbacks this fall
💰 Remember: Norvell and DeBoer were both in the mix for the Bama job after Nick Saban’s retirement — before FSU locked down Norvell with a major extension.
🧱 Twin OT Prospects Set Official Visit to FSU 🧱

Double trouble in the trenches?
Florida State will host a pair of massive Peach State offensive tackles, Courtney and Courtlin Heard, for an official visit from June 13–15.
Courtney (6’6”, 290) and Courtlin (6’7”, 330) — twin brothers from East Coweta HS in Sharpsburg, Ga. — each hold 20+ offers and are beginning to lock in their summer travel plans.
👀 The Heard twins were last in Tallahassee for FSU’s spring practice and received their offers after camping last summer.
🧠 Their relationship with FSU has carried over from former OL coach Alex Atkins to current position coach Herb Hand, who has kept the Noles firmly in the mix.
They’ll visit Georgia Tech on June 6, then return to the ‘Ville a week later.
🏃♂️ FSU in the Mix for 4⭐ Speedster CB CJ Bronaugh 🏃♂️

Fresh off a 10.34-second 100m state title, Windermere (Fla.) cornerback CJ Bronaugh remains committed to Nebraska — but Florida State is very much in the hunt.
The No. 72 overall prospect and No. 7 corner in the country is taking four official visits in June, and the Noles are locked in for a June 13–15 visit.
📍 What’s working for FSU?
• Bronaugh has built strong ties with Evan Cooper and Pat Surtain Sr., calling them his best relationships in Tallahassee.
• The staff took Bronaugh to lunch this spring and has been in regular contact.
• FSU sees Bronaugh as a top-of-the-board DB target and plans to go all in next month.
👀 The competition?
Florida, Penn State, and Nebraska — his current pledge — are all pressing hard. But Bronaugh says he's “giving each visit a fair shot” and plans to make a final decision in July.
With elite speed and six INTs (three returned for TDs) as a junior, Bronaugh would be a major get for the Garnet & Gold secondary.
And that’s a wrap!
From the tee box to the transfer portal, the Noles are stacking wins on every front.
With June visits on deck, national titles in sight, and Alabama looming on the horizon, this is the calm before a storm of milestones.
Let’s keep the foot on the gas.
Until next time,
— The Chief
