โšพ Seminoles Wrap Up Regular Season โšพ

Florida State baseball concluded its regular season with a 2-2 record, finishing 39-14 overall and 17-12 in the ACC, placing fifth in the conference. The Seminoles suffered a midweek loss to Stetson before taking two of three from Georgia Tech.

๐ŸŽพ Vic Allen Advances in NCAA Singles Championship ๐ŸŽพ

Florida State's Vic Allen defeated Anastasiya Komar 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (5) in a thrilling round of 64 match in the NCAA Singles Championship on Monday.

Allen secured the win by climbing back from a 4-1 deficit in the third-set tiebreaker, improving her season singles win total to 16.

She advances to the round of 32 to face Virginia's Annabell Xu on Tuesday, followed by her doubles match with Millie Bissett against Texas's Taisiya Pachkaleva and Sabina Zeynalova.

Additionally, Senior Ellie Schoppe fell to No. 16 Dasha Vidmanova in a tough three-set battle, concluding her singles run.

๐ŸŽพ Cornut-Chauvinc Advances in NCAA Singles Championship ๐ŸŽพ

Florida State's Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc dominated Mississippi State's Nemanja Malesevic in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, during Monday's first round of the NCAA Singles Championship.

As the No. 3 seed, Cornut-Chauvinc's early lead and strong finish set the tone for the match, securing his 13th top-50 win of the season.

Coach Dwayne Hultquist praised his execution and quick start in both sets.

Cornut-Chauvinc advances to the round of 32 to face Illinois's Karlis Ozolins and will also begin his doubles run with Joshua Dous-Karpenschif against Tennessee's Johannus Monday and Angel Diaz.

๐ŸŠโ€โ™‚๏ธ Seminoles Shine at Canadian Olympic Trials

Three Florida State athletes excelled at the Canadian Olympic Trials. Tazman Abramowicz won silver in 1-meter diving, David Quirie secured second swims in the 100 and 200 free, and Nina Kucheran earned a championship final spot in the 100 breaststroke.

  • Abramowicz: Silver in 1-meter (537.78), fifth in 3-meter (565.60).

  • Quirie: 16th in 100 free (50.87), 17th in 200 free (1:53.25).

โš–๏ธ FSU vs. ACC: Second Amended Complaint Filed ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

Florida State's ongoing legal battle with the Atlantic Coast Conference saw a new development as the second amended complaint was filed in Leon County Circuit Court late Thursday.

The amended complaint aims to clearly establish why the case should be heard in Florida. This is part of multiple legal proceedings between FSU and the ACC, which are also being contested in North Carolina.

Next Step: A case management conference with Judge John C. Cooper is scheduled via video conference on Tuesday, May 21 at 9:45 a.m.
