Sophomore All-American Lottie Woad finished second individually, leading the Florida State Women's Golf team to an 11th place tie in stroke play at the NCAA Championship Finals.
Woadโs performance marks the best individual finish in school history and includes a record-breaking score of 279, 9 under par.
Head Coach Amy Bond has now led the Seminoles to six consecutive top-12 finishes in the NCAA Championship. Woad's achievements highlight a stellar season for both her and the team.
Key Highlights:
Woadโs second place is the highest individual finish in FSU history.
Her score of 65 in the first round ties for the lowest in school history.
Florida State finished 11th, marking the sixth top-12 finish under Coach Bond.
Next Steps:
Top eight teams, including Stanford and LSU, advance to match play on Tuesday.

Junior outfielder James Tibbs III was named ACC Player of the Year, while five Seminoles earned All-ACC honors, showcasing FSU's baseball prowess.
Honorees:
James Tibbs III: ACC Player of the Year, led the league with 24 home runs, 78 RBIs, and a .385 batting average.
Jamie Arnold: First Team, top ACC pitcher with a 2.42 ERA and 124 strikeouts.
Cam Smith: Second Team, hit .400 with 13 home runs.
Jaime Ferrer and Marco Dinges: Third Team, key offensive contributors.
Key Highlights:
Tibbsโ 24 home runs are the most for a Seminole since Buster Posey in 2008.
Arnold's 17 strikeouts at Pittsburgh are the most by an ACC pitcher since 2018.
FSU set a school record with nine grand slams in 2024.

Florida State baseball concluded its regular season with a 2-2 record, finishing 39-14 overall and 17-12 in the ACC, placing fifth in the conference. The Seminoles suffered a midweek loss to Stetson before taking two of three from Georgia Tech.

Florida State's Vic Allen defeated Anastasiya Komar 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (5) in a thrilling round of 64 match in the NCAA Singles Championship on Monday.
Allen secured the win by climbing back from a 4-1 deficit in the third-set tiebreaker, improving her season singles win total to 16.
She advances to the round of 32 to face Virginia's Annabell Xu on Tuesday, followed by her doubles match with Millie Bissett against Texas's Taisiya Pachkaleva and Sabina Zeynalova.
Additionally, Senior Ellie Schoppe fell to No. 16 Dasha Vidmanova in a tough three-set battle, concluding her singles run.

Florida State's Antoine Cornut-Chauvinc dominated Mississippi State's Nemanja Malesevic in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, during Monday's first round of the NCAA Singles Championship.
As the No. 3 seed, Cornut-Chauvinc's early lead and strong finish set the tone for the match, securing his 13th top-50 win of the season.
Coach Dwayne Hultquist praised his execution and quick start in both sets.
Cornut-Chauvinc advances to the round of 32 to face Illinois's Karlis Ozolins and will also begin his doubles run with Joshua Dous-Karpenschif against Tennessee's Johannus Monday and Angel Diaz.
๐โโ๏ธ Seminoles Shine at Canadian Olympic Trials
Three Florida State athletes excelled at the Canadian Olympic Trials. Tazman Abramowicz won silver in 1-meter diving, David Quirie secured second swims in the 100 and 200 free, and Nina Kucheran earned a championship final spot in the 100 breaststroke.
Key Performances:
Abramowicz: Silver in 1-meter (537.78), fifth in 3-meter (565.60).
Quirie: 16th in 100 free (50.87), 17th in 200 free (1:53.25).
Kucheran: 10th in 100 breast (1:09.96), won consolation heat in 200 breast (2:32.35).
Next Steps: Several Seminoles aim to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Trials at the Speedo Sectionals in Ocala, Florida, May 24-26.

Running back Iverson Howard from Gaithersburg (Md.) Quince Orchard has official visits lined up to Michigan, Florida State, and Maryland, but may announce his college decision before visiting all three.
Upcoming Visits:
Michigan: June 7-9 - Howard admires their history of producing great running backs.
Florida State: June 14-16 - Encouraged by conversations with Kam Davis about early play opportunities.
Maryland: June 21-23 - Considers Maryland his hometown team.
Decision Criteria: Howard seeks a school with a strong, stable coaching staff and a commitment to winning games.
Commitment Announcement: Howard will reveal his decision on Friday at 2:45 p.m.

Florida State's ongoing legal battle with the Atlantic Coast Conference saw a new development as the second amended complaint was filed in Leon County Circuit Court late Thursday.
The amended complaint aims to clearly establish why the case should be heard in Florida. This is part of multiple legal proceedings between FSU and the ACC, which are also being contested in North Carolina.
Next Step: A case management conference with Judge John C. Cooper is scheduled via video conference on Tuesday, May 21 at 9:45 a.m.
