On the strength of four two-run home runs, five-seed Florida State defeated nine-seed Georgia Tech 12-9 on Tuesday at Truist Field, marking the Seminoles' first 40-win season since 2019.

The No. 19/NR Florida State outdoor track and field teams will have 31 entries in the NCAA East Preliminaries from May 22-25 in Lexington, Kentucky.

  • Events: Men's quarterfinals and semifinals on Wednesday, long jump, and 10,000 meters; Women's prelims on Thursday and semifinals on Saturday.

No. 15 national seed Florida State will travel to Norman, Oklahoma, to face No. 2 national seed Oklahoma in the NCAA Norman Super Regional from May 23rd to 25th, with a trip to the Women's College World Series on the line. This rematch of last year's national championship series will be held at Love's Field, with the first game scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
