Could you swing a $10,000 pet emergency?

Table legs get scratched, chew toys go missing, and shoes are constantly sacrificed at the altar of boredom. These are regular occurrences in life with pets, and seasoned owners won’t bat an eyelash. But a $10,000 emergency surgery? That’s a whole other ball game. Pet insurance could help you offset some of these costs by providing up to 90% reimbursement, and plans starting at $10/month. One of the best duos in FSU history just added more hardware to their trophy cases.
Lottie Woad and Mirabel Ting — the stars behind Florida State Women’s Golf’s best-ever third-place finish at the NCAA Championship Finals — have both been named First-Team All-Americans by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).
🌟 Milestone Achievements:
• Lottie Woad becomes the first player in FSU history to earn First-Team WGCA honors three times (2023–25)
• Mirabel Ting earns her first First-Team WGCA honor after prior Second-Team (2023) and Honorable Mention (2024) recognition
• Only the second time ever two Seminoles received WGCA First-Team honors in the same season (Woad & Charlotte Heath did so in 2022–23)
📈 Lottie Woad – The Standard:
• 5x First-Team All-American (3 WGCA, 2 Golfweek)
• NCAA All-Tournament Team (2nd in 2024, 8th in 2025)
• Career stroke average: 70.42 (FSU record)
• 27 career top-10s (FSU record), 5 wins, and four career rounds of 65
• No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings for 41 straight weeks
🚀 Mirabel Ting – A Meteoric Rise:
• 2025 ACC Golfer of the Year + ANNIKA Award Winner (nation’s top player)
• Stroke average: 68.77 in 2025 — lowest single-season average in program history
• Won 5 events in 9 appearances this season
• Never finished lower than sixth, 80 strokes under par in 2024–25
• No. 2 in WAGR, No. 1 NCAA collegiate golfer by Scoreboard by Clippd
📊 Big Picture:
FSU and Stanford are the only programs in the country with two WGCA First-Teamers this year — a clear signal that Florida State is a national power with elite firepower at the top.

Another Seminole joins the All-American ranks — and she did it in style.
Florida State softball star Isa Torres was named a First-Team All-American by D1Softball on Tuesday, adding to her previous Softball America First-Team nod from last week. It caps off one of the best offensive seasons in program history.
📈 Torres’ 2025 By the Numbers:
• .436 batting average – new FSU single-season record
• 95 hits – 3rd-most in FSU history
• 70 runs scored – 4th-most in program history
• Reached base in 54 of 61 games
• Recorded hits in 51 games
• Added 9 HRs and 45 RBIs
🔥 Consistency + Power:
Torres was a force all year long, anchoring the Noles’ lineup and delivering one of the most complete offensive campaigns Tallahassee has ever seen.

📅 What’s Next:
The CSC Academic All-Americans will be announced June 17 — and FSU is well-positioned to add even more honors to its 2025 haul.
🛡️ 6’6”, 320-lb OT Mitchell Smith Sets FSU Official Visit, Flips from Auburn 🛡️
Another big body is heading to the Big Bend.
Mitchell Smith, a 6’6”, 320-pound offensive tackle from Picayune, Mississippi, has locked in an official visit to Florida State from June 6–8 — a trip that replaces a previously scheduled visit to Auburn.
👀 Why It Matters:
• Smith’s spring practice visit helped build rapport with Mike Norvell and OL coach Herb Hand
• FSU will now get the first June OV ahead of Alabama, Ole Miss, and Vanderbilt
• Joins a loaded visit weekend that includes 5⭐ EDGE Tristian Givens, 4⭐ CB J’Zavien Currence, and 4⭐ RB Jae Lamar
🔢 Recruiting Snapshot:
• No. 91 OT nationally in the 2026 class (per 247Sports)
• Massive frame with strong SEC-level interest across the board
FSU is positioning itself early — and getting Smith on campus before other heavyweights is a smart first move.

Track speed. Big play potential. And now, serious Seminole interest.
Camden Capehart, a 3-star wideout committed to Mississippi State, is heading to Tallahassee this weekend for an official visit as FSU continues its effort to flip the electric Texas playmaker.
🗣️ What He’s Saying:
• “They [FSU] have a plan for me… they'd give me the ball and let me run in open space.”
• Capehart sees a clear vision laid out by Gus Malzahn and WR coach Tim Harris Jr.
🚀 Speed = Elite:
• 2x 3A Texas State Champ in the 100m
• Personal best: 10.08 (wind-aided) | 10.14 (legal) to win the 2025 title
• Compared by Malzahn to Anthony Schwartz, who he coached at Auburn and sent to the NFL
📊 Junior Season Recap:
• 56 catches | 1,379 yards | 25 TDs | 24.6 YPR
The 5'9", 165-lb burner is still technically committed to MSU — but FSU has his attention and a plan. This weekend could be a turning point.
And that’s a wrap!
And that’s a wrap on another jam-packed edition.
From blazing sprint times to All-American accolades, the Seminoles are flexing across every field. Official visit season is heating up, the postseason is underway, and summer’s looking like a recruiting goldmine.
Catch your breath. And we’ll see you back here tomorrow with more.
Until then — stay sharp, stay Garnet & Gold.
