Coach Amy Bond and her Florida State women's golf team are poised for the NCAA Regional Championship in Las Vegas, relying on their recent track record in regional play to guide them.
🌟 Regional Success
FSU has excelled in NCAA Regional Championships over the past decade, claiming two regional titles and advancing to the NCAA Championship Finals in seven straight tournaments.
🔥 Bond’s Challenge
Coach Bond spoke on the difficulty of regional competition: “There is no easy regional,” she said, highlighting the importance of the team playing their best golf of the year to reach the top five.
🌟 Experienced Roster
FSU’s lineup, featuring Lottie Woad, Mirabel Ting, Charlotte Heath, and Alice Hodge, has combined for nine regional appearances, making them one of the most experienced teams in the tournament.
🌟 Team Mentality
Woad, the Augusta National Women's Amateur champion, emphasized the importance of playing as a cohesive team, stating, “I’m most excited about playing good golf with a confident group of teammates. If we do that, everything should take care of itself.”
🔜 On the Horizon
Coach Bond, who views the regional tournament as "the toughest tournament of the year," is confident that the team is prepared for the challenge and will bring their A-game to the tournament in Las Vegas starting Monday.

🎯 Visits Scheduled
Joseph has official visits scheduled for Memphis on June 7 and Florida State on June 21. He emphasized the importance of these visits, saying, "It's a high possibility out of those two. It's a 50-50 chance."
🤝 FSU Connection
Joseph's cousin, FSU offensive lineman TJ Ferguson, has positively influenced Joseph's perception of the Seminoles, especially with his transfer from Alabama. Joseph noted Ferguson's perspective, stating, "Him telling me about how his recruitment went when he transferred and how it is now. Then me going to see it for an entire week, it changed my mind."
🌟 FSU's Appeal
Florida State's offensive line coach, Alex Atkins, has developed a close relationship with Joseph, which the lineman described as being "a father-son type." Joseph appreciates how Atkins "keeps it honest with you" and ensures that players are "good outside of football."
Joseph also praised FSU's program development and growing appeal, saying, "They started winning now. Not too many people want to go to a losing team. Ever since that, a lot of people are trying to go to Florida State."
🏆 Memphis as a Strong Contender
Memphis has become a significant player in Joseph's recruitment, partly because of their appeal to his friend and teammate, Antwann Hill, a Top 100 quarterback. Joseph highlighted the bond with Hill, stating, "Me and my quarterback have that bond ever since day one. Just building that bond with twin, it's something special."
🔜 Commitment Timeline
Joseph plans to commit after his official visits, leaving fans eagerly waiting to see where he chooses to take his talents next.
🏀 Reviewing FSU Basketball’s Roster Overhaul 🏀
🔄 Significant Departures
The Florida State men's basketball team is undergoing a significant transformation, losing 11 players to graduation, the NBA Draft, and the transfer portal, including its top seven scorers.
🛡️ Returning Players
Only two players remain: junior guard Chandler Jackson and sophomore forward Taylor Bol Bowen, who each averaged 4.9 and 3.1 points, respectively, last season.
🚀 New Additions
Seven new players have been added to the roster:
Transfers
Jerry Deng (Hampton): 6'9" forward, averaged 10.1 points and 4.2 rebounds.
Malique Ewin (South Plains College): 6'10" center, averaged 14.9 points and 9.0 rebounds.
Justin Thomas (UTSA): 6'7" guard, averaged 7.3 points and 4.4 rebounds.
Bostyn Holt (South Dakota): 6'7" guard, averaged 12.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists.
High School Signees
Daquan Davis: Four-star point guard, No. 105 prospect nationally.
AJ Swinton: Three-star forward, No. 149 prospect nationally.
Christian Nitu: Three-star forward, the No. 59 power forward.
📈 Immediate Needs
The Seminoles need four more players to fill out their roster, with the focus on finding an experienced point guard and two big men who can complement Ewin and Deng inside.
🌍 Potential Solutions
With their remaining scholarships, the Seminoles could look to the transfer portal or leverage Leonard Hamilton's overseas connections to add talent to the roster.
🏈 Wyoming's Gavin Meyer Enters Transfer Portal, Seminoles Show Interest
🚀 New Transfer Prospect
Wyoming defensive tackle Gavin Meyer entered the transfer portal on Friday, catching the eye of Florida State as the Seminoles seek to bolster their defensive line.
📈 Meyer's Performance
The Wisconsin native boasts 67 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks over the past two seasons, having achieved a notable 79.5 PFF grade last year across 350+ snaps.
⚡ Athletic Profile
Standing at 6'4" and weighing 280 pounds, Meyer brings a solid combination of agility and athleticism to the field.
🔍 FSU's Interest
FSU is likely to evaluate Meyer's fit for the defensive line rotation as they continue their search for interior linemen in the transfer portal.
📌 Other Targets
FSU also remains in pursuit of D-II prospect Jay'viar Suggs, who visited the Seminoles before heading to USC and Michigan for official visits.
And that’s a wrap!
From the baseball diamond to the recruiting trail, there’s never a dull moment in Seminole Nation.
