Tough news for the Noles ahead of the ACC Tournament.
Florida State softball head coach Lonni Alameda announced Monday that sophomore outfielder Kennedy Harp will miss the remainder of the season due to an injury suffered April 27 at Louisville.
🗣️ Coach Alameda:
“It is so tough to see it happen... We know she’ll impact this team daily and return stronger next season.”
🗣️ Harp:
“This journey isn’t over... I’m already putting in the work to come back stronger.”
Harp has appeared in 44 games this season and has been a key piece of FSU’s outfield rotation. While her on-field contributions will be missed, her leadership will remain a factor as the Noles head into the postseason.

📦 Portal Wrap-Up: What FSU’s Offensive Haul Says About the Roster 📦
Gavin Sawchuk was one of the country's most efficient runners in 2023, averaging more than 3.00 YPC both before and after contact.
Vision, tempo-based running, and some creativity all played a role in that effectiveness.

The dust has settled, the portal window is closed, and the Noles have quietly reshaped their offense with a mix of high-upside bets and calculated depth. 💼✍️
Here’s what the actions — not just the words — tell us about how Mike Norvell and Co. really felt after spring camp:
🔁 Quarterback
Add: Jaylen King (ETSU)
Dual-threat FCS starter with 823 career rush yards and solid arm talent.
Expected to redshirt and develop behind Glenn and Rodemaker.
Smart, low-risk move with long-term upside and immediate scout-team value.
🏃♂️ Running Back
Add: Gavin Sawchuk (Oklahoma)
Explosive inside-zone fit who had 744 yards and 9 TDs in 2023.
Seen as an insurance policy for freshman Ousmane Kromah and a challenge to veterans like Roydell Williams and Jaylin Lucas.
Not a splashy grab, but fills a need with starting upside.
📬 Pass Catchers
Add: Gavin Blackwell (UNC)
WR search intensified after Jalen Brown’s dismissal.
FSU struck out on multiple WR targets and settled on Blackwell — a vertical threat with potential but injury history and limited production.
TE Markeston Douglas was retained amid transfer interest, reinforcing a solid (but thin) tight end room.
🛠️ Offensive Line
Adds: Josh Raymond (Vanderbilt), Ja’Elyne Matthews (Rutgers)
Both are developmental freshmen brought in to bolster long-term depth.
OL attrition (Ferguson, Early) wasn’t planned, but not viewed as devastating.
Raymond is a former Herb Hand target with good movement skills. Matthews brings blue-chip pedigree but some off-field concerns.
🧠 Final Take:
FSU’s spring portal work was more about fine-tuning than making headlines. The staff opted for need-based precision over volume, threading the needle between adding contributors without disrupting chemistry — especially in the RB and WR rooms.
And that’s a wrap!
Whether it's Ting setting the pace, Sawchuk shifting the RB room, or Harp showing elite resilience — the Noles are locked in across every front.
Postseason golf, $2 baseball, and a portal haul built for flexibility — this week’s lineup is loaded.
See you tomorrow, Tribe.
Stay sharp. Stay gold. 🍢
