With this win, the Seminoles secured their spot in the 2024 ACC Women’s Soccer Tournament, maintaining their perfect attendance streak in all 30 tournaments since the program began.

The No. 23 Florida State volleyball team (16-5, 8-3) opened its ACC series history against the California Golden Bears (10-13, 2-9) with a commanding sweep (25-23, 25-19, 25-18) at Tully Gym on Friday night.

Lottie Woad Named ACC Women's Golfer of the Month

Junior All-American Lottie Woad earned the ACC Women’s Golfer of the Month award for October, following her standout performance at the Landfall Tradition on October 27. This marks the second time Woad has received this honor, having first won it in September 2023.

October Highlights:

  • Woad secured one individual championship, two top-three finishes, and shot even par across six rounds in two tournaments.

  • She tied the school record (for the fourth time) with a single-round score of 65 at the Landfall Tradition.

  • The reigning ACC Player of the Year averaged 70.83 strokes per round, with three rounds at par or better.

Woad's incredible achievements have also kept her ranked as the No. 1 player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for the 14th straight week. She has held the top spot 19 out of the last 21 weeks.

The No. 13/NR Florida State cross country teams competed at the ACC Championship on Friday morning at WakeMed Park in Cary, North Carolina, with standout performances earning All-ACC honors for two women’s team members.

Women’s Team Highlights:

  • Agnes McTighe finished 9th with a career-best time of 19:40.6, securing her second All-ACC honor.

  • Bieke Schipperen placed 16th, clocking 20:02.5 to earn her first All-ACC recognition. The women’s team placed 7th overall, improving from 11th in 2023.

Head Coach Cody Halsey praised McTighe and Schipperen, stating, “Watching Agnes and Bieke finish All-ACC was a massive bright spot. These two gave everything they had for our team.”

Despite mixed feelings about the team’s performance, Halsey remains optimistic, believing the team can make the necessary adjustments for the NCAA South Regional in two weeks.
