Seminole Showdown on the Road ๐Ÿ

The Florida State Volleyball team is gearing up for a significant challenge on the road. Their first hurdle? A clash with the formidable No. 11 Georgia Tech this Friday at 7 p.m. And they're not stopping there. The team will then head to Clemson for another intense match on Sunday at 1 p.m. For those eager to catch every serve and spike, tune in to ACC Network Extra.

Currently boasting a 12-6 record and an unblemished 6-0 in the conference, the Seminoles are in impressive form. A standout player to watch is junior outside hitter Audrey Koenig, who has been delivering stellar performances with back-to-back 20+ kill matches and earning ACC Offensive Player of the Week honors twice in a row.

Here's a tidbit for the stat enthusiasts: FSU is leading the nation with a hitting percentage of .321 and is on the cusp of achieving their fourth 7-0 start in ACC play. Junior middle blocker Khori Louis is also leading the ACC and ranking second nationally with a .470 hitting percentage.

Seminole Soccer Sensation: FSU Dominates Notre Dame

In a thrilling face-off, the No. 1 Florida State women's soccer team showcased their prowess with a resounding 4-1 victory over No. 11 Notre Dame. The action-packed evening at the Seminole Soccer Complex saw our very own Seminoles solidify their top spot in the ACC standings.

The game was nothing short of electrifying! Jordynn Dudley set the pace with a brilliant assist to Onyi Echegini, who didn't hesitate to put the ball in the net. Notre Dame tried to level the playing field, but Echegini was back at it, securing another goal right before halftime. The second half saw Jody Brown and Leilanni Nesbeth adding to the scoreline, ensuring a comfortable lead for the Seminoles.

A special mention to Cristina Roque, who was a wall in the goal, making a season-high four saves. With this win, FSU remains undefeated at home when ranked No. 1. The team's next challenge? No. 17 Pitt, next Thursday at the Seminole Soccer Complex.

Rising Star Alert: Luke Kromenhoek's Stellar Ascent

In the ever-evolving world of college football, stars are born, and the latest to shine brightly is none other than Savannah's own Luke Kromenhoek. The quarterback from Benedictine Military School has been awarded a coveted fifth star in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. This accolade places him as the No. 31 overall prospect, making him one of the elite 32 five-star prospects in his class. And if you're keeping score, he's also the No. 5 QB and the No. 7 player in Georgia.

Luke's commitment to Florida State back in March 2022 was driven by a blend of proximity to home and a genuine admiration for the coaching staff. He's quoted saying, "Every time Iโ€™ve been down there, theyโ€™ve rolled out the red carpet." With such a warm welcome, it's no wonder he sees a bright future for the program.

But the accolades don't stop there. Luke is now one of three five-stars in Florida Stateโ€™s 2024 recruiting class, which currently ranks at a commendable No. 7. Joining him at the top are safety KJ Bolden and cornerback Charles Lester III.

For those intrigued by numbers, Luke's On3 NIL Valuation stands at a whopping $469K. And if you're curious about his on-field prowess, the scouting summary paints a picture of a "toolsy, strong-armed passer" with immense potential and a bright future ahead.

FSU Football: Unanimously Playoff-Bound!

The Seminole spirit is soaring high as Florida State football is unanimously projected to be part of the coveted College Football Playoff. According to 247Sports, the No. 4 ranked Seminoles are set to face off against Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. But they're not the only ones singing FSU's praises. The Action Network envisions a Rose Bowl clash with Michigan, while Athlon Sports and Bleacher Report echo the same sentiment.

CBS Sports and USA Today also predict a Rose Bowl appearance for FSU, with Michigan as the opponent. Meanwhile, College Football Network throws a curveball, projecting a match against Washington in the Rose Bowl. ESPN's duo, Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach, are in harmony, foreseeing a Sugar Bowl showdown with Georgia.

With such unanimous acclaim, it's clear that the Seminoles are making waves in the college football world. But before they can dream of playoffs, there's business to attend to. This weekend, FSU faces Syracuse, and it's crucial they maintain their momentum. After all, every game counts on the road to glory.

Syracuse vs. FSU: More Than Just a Game! ๐ŸŠ

The Seminoles are on fire, starting 5-0 for the first time since 2015 and hunting for their 12th straight win. Meanwhile, Syracuse, at 4-2, has been a bit sour, especially after consecutive ACC losses to Clemson and North Carolina. History is on our side, with FSU winning eight of the nine matchups since 2013.

Kickoff Time: Ready your alarms and breakfast menus! The game starts at 12:00 EST on ABC.

Seminole Scoop:

  • Run, Forrest, Run! FSU's running game found its groove against Virginia Tech, with Trey Benson sprinting for 200 yards on just11 carries. If the 'Noles can replicate this against Syracuse, it's smooth sailing for the offense.

  • Big Play Prevention: Syracuse has been lacking in the explosive play department. With our defense potentially getting linebacker Tatum Bethune back, we're looking to keep it that way.

  • QB Watch: Garrett Shrader's dual-threat capabilities are noteworthy, but our defense has been prepping for QBs with nimble feet. The key? Sound, disciplined football.

  • Receiving Corps: With Johnny Wilson's status uncertain, it's time for other receivers like Ja'Khi Douglas and Destyn Hill to step up. More options, more problems for Syracuse!

  • 3rd Down Showdown: Syracuse's 49.4% 3rd down conversion is impressive, but our defense, with a 31.9% hold rate, is ready for the challenge.

Recruit Radar: FSU is set to host a slew of potential future stars. Keep an eye out for 4-star 2025 QB Tramell Jones, 5-star 2026 QB Jared Curtis, and 4-star RB Kameron Davis among others. A full house and a sold-out crowd could be the perfect pitch for these young talents.

Game Prediction: According to a recent article, FSU is favored by 17.5 points. Our forecast? A sunny day with a high chance of FSU domination, predicting a score of FSU 44, Syracuse 9.
