Florida State softball will open its 2025 season in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, from Feb. 6-8, marking the Seminoles’ first appearance in the international tournament. Their schedule promises a strong start, highlighted by a faceoff with Women’s College World Series contender Oklahoma State and a series of first-time matchups.
Game Schedule Highlights:
Feb. 6: Opening game against Oklahoma State (11 a.m.), a rematch of their 2023 WCWS game, where the Seminoles defeated the Cowgirls 8-0.
Feb. 6: First-ever matchup against Northern Colorado (2 p.m.), the 2024 Big Sky Conference Champions.
Feb. 7 & Feb. 8: Dual games against Louisiana Tech, meeting for only the second time since 1997.

FSU Men’s Basketball fans can get a season preview at Tip Off with the Seminoles, set for October 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Dunlap Champions Club. The event includes a meet-and-greet with the team, plus a Q&A session with Head Coach Leonard Hamilton and players, hosted by the Voice of the Seminoles, Jeff Culhane.
“We want our supporters to meet our players and feel connected to them throughout the season,” said Hamilton. Culhane added, “Attendance is a slam dunk if you’re a Seminole basketball fan.”

Exhibition games: St. Leo University (Oct. 24) and West Florida (Oct. 31), both at 7 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Center.
Regular season opener: Nov. 4 vs. Northern Kentucky.

Florida State’s much-anticipated rivalry game against No. 6 Miami is scheduled for Saturday, October 26, with a 7 p.m. kickoff at Hard Rock Stadium, televised on ESPN. Before then, FSU (1-5) will travel to Duke on Friday, October 18 at 7 p.m. (ESPN2), while Miami (6-0) heads to Louisville on October 19.
