I’m gone be honest with y’all if we had enough talent to beat Alabama week 1 then we should have enough talent to beat UVA, Pitt and Miami. This argument would be valid if we didn’t beat Alabama but we did that’s the issue and it ain’t rocket science.

6:52 PM • Oct 6, 2025
At the halfway mark of the 2025 season, Florida State sits at 3–3, dropping three straight after a 3–0 start. While the offense has flashed explosive upside, inconsistency and protection issues have kept the Seminoles from finding their rhythm.
🔥 Top Offensive Performers (PFF Grades)
Using Pro Football Focus metrics (60 = average, 70 = good, 50 = below average), here are FSU’s standouts so far:
1️⃣ RB Ousmane Kromah (87.4) – True freshman phenom averaging 6.15 yards per carry with 15 missed tackles forced and an Elusive Rating of 159.5 (8th nationally).
2️⃣ QB Tommy Castellanos (87.0) – Top-10 nationally in Big Time Throw Rate (6.8%) and 6th among Power 4 QBs in Passing Grade (87.7).
3️⃣ WR Micahi Danzy (83.3) – Converted RB turned deep threat, averaging 20.6 yards per target (7th nationally).
4️⃣ RB Gavin Sawchuk (77.1) – Steady Oklahoma transfer leading the team with 6 TDs and 352 yards on 5.25 YPC.
5️⃣ WR Duce Robinson (73.6) – 3rd nationally in Contested Catch Rate (81.8%) and a reliable downfield target.
🔻 Areas of Concern
While skill positions shine, the offensive line has struggled in pass protection and consistency.
Gunnar Hansen (51.8) – Team-low grade, allowing 11 QB hurries and just one game above a 60 run-block score.
Adrian Medley (62.2) – Strong in run blocking but erratic in pass sets (graded 12.2 vs. Miami).
Richie Leonard (60.9) – Reliable but rarely dominant; embodies the line’s “average” identity.
WR Squirrel White (55.7) – Hampered by injuries; only two catches in four games and three INTs on his targets.
💡 The Takeaway
FSU’s offensive potential is clear — Castellanos’ efficiency, Danzy’s explosiveness, and Kromah’s emergence form a promising core. But to finish strong, the Seminoles must stabilize the offensive line and reestablish rhythm in the passing game.
And that’s a wrap!
Florida State sports are writing one of their most intriguing midseason stories yet — from Luke Loucks’ debut on the hardwood to Link Jarrett’s recruiting surge and a football team searching for balance in the trenches. The vibes around Tallahassee are clear: this isn’t a program falling apart — it’s one evolving in real time.
As the Seminoles hit the road, the hardwood, and the recruiting trail, there’s one thing you can count on — the Garnet & Gold are building toward something bigger. Stay locked in, enjoy the ride, and we’ll see you right back here tomorrow for more from The Chief Brief.
🔥 Until next time — stay sharp, stay unconquered. 🔥
