🎙 Castellanos Talks Rivalry Week on ACC Podcast 🎙

Starting QB Tommy Castellanos joined the Gramlich and Mac Lain podcast this week to reflect on FSU’s Virginia loss, the Alabama win, and what Saturday night vs. Miami means.

💬 On the Virginia Loss

  • Called it a “humbling moment” the team needed: “We can’t play that bad again… be the villain again and go back to being the underdog.”

  • Praised the team’s fight and resiliency, saying adversity will only bring them closer.

🔥 On Alabama

  • “We didn’t just beat them, we embarrassed them. We out-physicalled them… now we have to play to that standard every week.”

🤝 Relationships

  • WR Duce Robinson: “He just makes me look good… I can just throw it up to him and he’s going to make me right.”

  • Cam Ward: close friendship, even some trash talk ahead of Miami.

🧠 Growth as a QB

  • Worked this offseason with trainers and peers like Ward and Shedeur Sanders to refine mechanics, film study, and decision-making.

🏈 On Miami

  • Expects the game to hinge on skill players at the perimeter: “It won’t be us dominating them or them dominating us up front.”

  • Message to defense: “Be physical. Go get him. Make it ugly for their QB.”

  • On the stage: “This is why I came here… to play in games like this.”
