Florida State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei has officially been ruled out for Saturday’s game against his former team, Clemson, due to a throwing hand injury sustained during the SMU game.
Head coach Mike Norvell confirmed the news on Tuesday, stating that the injury will likely keep Uiagalelei out for the next few weeks.
Brock Glenn, a redshirt freshman, is expected to make his first start of the season against Clemson. Glenn, who filled in briefly against SMU, is listed as a co-starter on the depth chart alongside freshman Luke Kromenhoek.
Norvell praised Glenn's preparation and attitude, saying, “He’s built for it,” as he takes on one of the toughest challenges of the season.
Uiagalelei finishes his season so far with 1,065 passing yards, 4 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions.
The Seminoles will now look to Glenn to step up and lead the team as they face Clemson in a critical ACC matchup.

Florida State has suffered another recruiting loss amidst their challenging 1-4 start to the season.
On Tuesday, four-star wide receiver Malik Clark, out of Rock Hill, S.C., announced his decommitment from FSU after just two months.
Clark is the third prospect to step away from the Seminoles' 2025 class, joining defensive tackle Myron Charles (now committed to Texas) and edge rusher Javion Hilson.
Clark initially chose Florida State over offers from South Carolina and North Carolina but now appears to be leaning toward the Gamecocks, who hosted him for a game earlier this season and will welcome him back this weekend.
This decommitment drops FSU’s 2025 recruiting class from No. 29 to No. 36 in the 247Sports rankings.
Wide receivers coach Ron Dugans still holds commitments from four-star receivers CJ Wiley and Daylan McCutcheon, though both remain engaged with other programs, including Georgia, LSU, and Texas.
Scouting Report:
Clark is a 6-foot-2, 180-pound perimeter playmaker known for his speed, clocking a 4.39 in the 40-yard dash and showcasing dynamic separation ability.
His quickness and top-end gear make him a deep threat, though he will need to develop further in contested catch situations and blocking.
His athleticism points to significant upside at the Power Four level, with potential to become an NFL-caliber player in the future.

Florida State is looking to bounce back from a tough 1-4 start as they host No. 15 Clemson this Saturday, with several key recruits expected to attend.
Despite recent recruiting losses, including the decommitment of four-star WR Malik Clark, the Seminoles have a chance to make a strong impression.
Notable Visitors:
3-star OL Daniel Pierre Louis (official visit)
4-star DL Kevin Wynn (possible visit)
2027 4-star LB Kaden Henderson
2026 4-star WR Elias Coke
With recruits like WR commits CJ Wiley and Daylan McCutcheon considering other programs, a strong performance on the field is crucial. Freshman QB Brock Glenn could inject new energy into the offense, a factor that may attract attention from wide receiver recruits.

Florida State’s preparations for their game against No. 15 Clemson kicked off on Tuesday, with quarterbacks Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek sharing reps.
Mike Norvell described their play as "solid," though both QBs had moments they’d like to redo. Glenn settled in and created explosive plays later in the day, while Kromenhoek delivered a standout throw to TE Brian Courtney during Pass Skelly.
Defensively, CB Azareye’h Thomas was active, making plays near the line of scrimmage, while DE Marvin Jones Jr. impressed with multiple backfield stops. Freshman WR BJ Gibson stood out with a contested catch in 1-on-1s and a deep reception from Glenn.
On the ground, RB Lawrance Toafili continued to shine, finding the end zone during red-zone drills, and Micahi Danzy broke off a 60-yard run. Young linemen Manasse Itete and Jamorie Flagg also had standout moments in drills.
And that’s a wrap!
As the Seminoles gear up for their highly anticipated showdown with Clemson, there’s no shortage of excitement on and off the field.
Whether it's a top-10 soccer clash, fall baseball tickets, or key recruits visiting, FSU’s future is buzzing. Let’s see if the Noles can rise to the occasion this weekend and give us all something to celebrate.
Keep pushing forward, Noles—there’s always more to come!
🔱 Until next time, stay fearless and bleed garnet & gold! 🔱
