๐Ÿˆ Four-Star EDGE Chase Linton Locks in Official Visit to FSU ๐Ÿˆ

Florida State continues to make waves on the recruiting front, as four-star edge rusher Chase Linton from Atlanta (Ga.) North Atlanta has set his official visit for the weekend of November 2nd, when the Seminoles face North Carolina.

Linton previously visited FSU on September 21st and received an offer just 10 days prior.

Though currently leaning towards Georgia, where the 247Sports Crystal Ball gives the Bulldogs 100% of the predictions, Linton remains a top target for the Seminoles.

He has also taken visits to Alabama and Georgia, with an official visit to Georgia scheduled for October 12th.

Scouting Report: Linton, ranked as the No. 191 overall prospect and No. 24 defensive lineman in the 2025 class, is an explosive pass rusher with impressive multi-sport athleticism.

Standing 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, Linton boasts elite physical traits, including a remarkable 44-8.5 triple jump and an 80-inch wingspan.

Known for his flexibility and quick first step, Linton has the potential to become a game-wrecker with NFL Draft upside after time in a collegiate strength and conditioning program.

As Linton continues his recruitment process, FSU hopes to make a strong impression during his November visit, which could prove pivotal for landing this rising star.

๐Ÿˆ Dabo Swinney Not Underestimating FSU Despite Struggles ๐Ÿˆ

Florida State is preparing to host No. 15 Clemson on Saturday night, but the trajectory of these two programs couldn't be more different.

After a 13-1 season in 2023, including a thrilling 31-24 overtime victory over Clemson, the Seminoles have hit hard times in 2024 with a 1-4 record.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney isnโ€™t letting Florida State's tough season fool him. He emphasized that the Seminoles are still loaded with talent and shouldnโ€™t be taken lightly.

Swinney praised FSUโ€™s roster depth and special teams, calling their punter and kicker โ€œthe best in the nationโ€ and recognizing the dangerous weapons all over their offense.

Swinney also expressed respect for redshirt freshman quarterback Brock Glenn, who will start in place of DJ Uiagalelei, currently sidelined with a finger injury.

Swinney believes Florida State could have some offensive surprises in store, but ultimately, expects them to stick to their game plan.

Clemson will face Florida State at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN, with both teams eager to make a statement in this crucial ACC rivalry.

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) has filed an appeal with the First District Court of Appeal in Florida, challenging the jurisdiction of Florida courts in its ongoing legal dispute with Florida State University (FSU).

The ACC argues that the case should be heard in North Carolina, where the contracts governing their relationship are based, rather than in Florida.

The appeal asserts that Florida courts lack personal jurisdiction over the ACC, claiming that the trial court in Leon County misinterpreted facts and Florida's long-arm statute.

The ACC contends that FSU's claims are hypothetical and not ripe for adjudication, as they revolve around a potential withdrawal from the conference that has not occurred.

The ACC is seeking to have the trial courtโ€™s ruling reversed, pushing for the case to be dismissed with prejudice.

No oral arguments have been scheduled yet, and this is the second appeal the ACC has filed in this ongoing jurisdictional dispute.

And thatโ€™s a wrap!

From the soccer pitch to the courtrooms, itโ€™s a busy weekend for the Noles!

As we face Clemson in a high-stakes matchup and host a packed recruiting weekend, the excitement continues across FSU sports.

Stay tuned for more updates, and donโ€™t forget to check back in tomorrow for the latest headlines and insights.

Until next time, Chief out! ๐ŸŒŸ
