Florida State (1-4, 1-3 ACC) faces its toughest challenge yet this season as the Seminoles host No. 15 Clemson (3-1, 2-0 ACC) on Saturday night at Doak Campbell Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN, with Clemson coming into the game as a 14.5-point favorite.
Clemsonās Passing Attack vs. FSU Pass Defense
Clemson QB Cade Klubnik has led a rejuvenated passing game in 2024, completing 73 of 110 passes for 984 yards, 12 touchdowns, and just two interceptions. Freshman WR Bryant Wesco Jr. and sophomore Antonio Williams have been Klubnikās primary targets, contributing a combined 434 yards and five touchdowns. Despite solid play from FSU corners Fentrell Cypress and Azareyeāh Thomas, the Seminoles' pass defense has struggled, allowing 216.2 yards per game. The key for FSU will be pressuring Klubnik and disrupting his timing.
Advantage: Clemson
Clemsonās Rushing Attack vs. FSU Run Defense
Phil Mafah leads Clemsonās ground game with 342 yards and two touchdowns, and Klubnik has also shown mobility with four rushing scores. While FSUās run defense has improved, allowing 165.8 yards per game, the Seminoles will need strong performances from key defenders like Josh Farmer and Patrick Payton to contain Clemsonās rushing attack.
Advantage: Clemson
FSUās Passing Attack vs. Clemsonās Pass Defense
With Brock Glenn set to start at QB for Florida State, the Seminoles' passing game remains a question mark. Clemsonās pass defense has allowed 218.5 yards per game but features disruptive playmakers like Avieon Terrell and Jeadyn Lukus. Glenn will need to rely on veteran receivers JaāKhi Douglas and Malik Benson to keep the offense moving.
Advantage: Clemson
FSUās Rushing Attack vs. Clemsonās Run Defense
FSUās run game, led by Lawrance Toafili, faces a Clemson defense allowing 183.2 rushing yards per game. The mobility of Glenn at QB could add a new dynamic to FSUās ground game, giving the Seminoles a chance to exploit a weak Clemson run defense.
Advantage: Even
Special Teams
Ryan Fitzgeraldās perfect season as FSUās placekicker and Alex Mastromannoās strong punting give the Seminoles a clear edge in special teams. Clemsonās freshman kicker Nolan Hauser has been solid but untested from long range.
Advantage: Florida State
Warchant, 247Noles, and The Osceola staff predict a challenging game for the Seminoles, with most analysts favoring Clemson by a wide margin. FSUās best chance lies in a strong defensive effort and some early offensive sparks from Glenn.

š FSU Legend Warrick Dunn to Be Honored at Clemson Game š
One of Florida State's most cherished athletes, Warrick Dunn, will be honored during tomorrow night's game against Clemson. Dunn, who is set to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, will be recognized at the 2:00 timeout during the second quarter at Doak Campbell Stadium.
This momentous occasion will also feature fellow FSU Hall of Famers Charlie Ward, Terrell Buckley, and Marvin Jones, who will join fans in celebrating Dunn's incredible legacy both on and off the field.
Warrick Dunnās story is one that has resonated deeply with FSU fans for decades. Born in Baton Rouge, La., Dunn faced unimaginable tragedy when his mother, a police officer, was killed during a robbery attempt while he was being recruited by Bobby Bowden. Despite this devastating loss, Dunn emerged as one of Florida State's all-time greats, becoming a symbol of resilience and strength.
As we honor Dunn's remarkable contributions to the Seminoles and the game of football, itās a moment to reflect on the lasting impact he has made on the FSU community and beyond.
š Brock Glenn Joins Elite Company in Facing 3rd Top-15 Opponent š
Florida Stateās redshirt freshman quarterback, Brock Glenn, is set to face another major challenge as the Seminoles take on No. 15 Clemson this Saturday. This will mark Glennās third career start, all against Top 15 opponentsāmaking him part of an exclusive group of quarterbacks to face such tough competition early in their careers.
Glennās first two starts came last season, stepping in for Jordan Travis during FSUās win over No. 14 Louisville in the ACC Championship Game and the loss to Georgia in the Orange Bowl. He now joins QBs like Alex Hornibrook, Stetson Bennett, and his predecessor Jordan Travis in taking on three Top 15 teams right out of the gate.
Glenn recently spoke with Travis, who also faced a difficult start in 2020 but went on to become one of college footballās top quarterbacks. Glennās performance this weekend will be another important test as he works to establish himself as a leader for the Seminoles.
