🔥 Mike Norvell Wants FSU to “Cut it Loose” Heading Into Memphis Matchup 🔥

Florida State returned to practice with a renewed focus as Mike Norvell challenged his team to embrace a “cut it loose” mentality for their upcoming game against Memphis.

  • Jalen Brown shines: Brown consistently showed his speed and playmaking ability, catching Norvell’s attention. He separated from defenders during team drills, making defenders miss and creating space in 1-on-1 matchups.

  • Hykeem Williams back in action: After missing the first two games, Williams showed flashes of his catch radius with strong grabs, while still shaking off rust from injury.

  • QB performance: DJ Uiagalelei showed more confidence, especially during team drills, executing plays with more certainty. Freshman QB Luke Kromenhoek impressed with perfect passes during 1-on-1s, connecting well with WRs Lawayne McCoy and Elijah Moore.

  • TE Kyle Morlock’s bounce-back: Morlock made key catches after struggling earlier, showing resilience in practice with tightly contested grabs and a standout block in Perimeter Drills.

  • RB Micahi Danzy steps up: Filling in for the injured Jaylin Lucas, Danzy impressed as a receiver and demonstrated growth, handling increased touches effectively.

  • Defensive standouts: Cam Riley’s physicality and range were notable in red-zone drills, while DEs Darius Washington and Darrell Jackson had dominant reps. DBs Edwin Joseph and Ja'Bril Rawls excelled in red-zone coverage, forcing multiple incompletions.

  • Team cohesion grows: Players and coaches emphasized team chemistry, with QBs and WRs spending extra time watching film together, a sign of growth and commitment.

Norvell believes his players are starting to embrace a mindset that emphasizes both intensity and fun, essential elements as FSU looks to turn its season around. Saturday’s game against Memphis will be a critical test of their ability to channel this renewed energy into a victory.

Florida State and the ACC will meet in court on Wednesday, with oral arguments being heard by a panel of judges.

The ACC is appealing prior decisions by Judge John C. Cooper, seeking to dismiss the case in Florida and move it to North Carolina.

This legal battle centers around jurisdiction, with the ACC arguing Florida’s trial court failed to apply necessary legal principles.

The hearing will focus on whether the case should proceed in Florida or be relocated to North Carolina.

And that’s a wrap!

As FSU continues to battle on the court, course, and field, the passion of our athletes remains undeniable.

Whether it’s a championship win in golf, a new recruit stepping up, or a legal challenge off the field, the Seminole spirit perseveres.

Let’s carry this momentum forward as we look ahead to key matchups, new opportunities, and exciting developments across FSU sports.

Until next time, keep the Garnet and Gold pride strong! 🌟
