Florida State will celebrate its 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame class this weekend, highlighted by football legends Rashad Greene and Jameis Winston. Seven new members will be honored at Friday’s banquet and recognized during the first quarter of Saturday’s game against Kent State.
🔥 Football Icons
Rashad Greene (2011–14) — FSU’s all-time leader in receptions (270) and receiving yards (3,830), a two-time All-ACC selection, and key piece of the 2013 national championship run. Greene called the honor “a dream come true,” adding it’s even more special going in alongside Winston.
Jameis Winston (2013–14) — The 2013 Heisman Trophy winner, national champion, and record-setting QB who went 26–1 as FSU’s starter. Though he won’t attend due to NFL duties, his family will represent him.
💪 Other Inductees
Bob Braman — Legendary track & field coach with 3 NCAA titles, 35 ACC titles, and 47 Olympians.
Bryan Henry — Baseball ace (2005–07), three-time All-ACC, 2007 ACC Pitcher of the Year.
Terry Horner — Diving great (2007–10), 2007 NCAA 1-meter champion and six-time All-American.
Colleen Quigley — Track/cross country star (2011–15), 2015 NCAA steeplechase champion and 2016 Olympian.
Lacey Waldrop — Softball ace (2012–15), 2014 USA Softball Player of the Year and FSU’s all-time wins leader (109).

Florida State is set to host around 65 recruits this weekend as the No. 7 Seminoles return from their bye to face Kent State at Doak Campbell. Even with the spread over 40 points, FSU has drawn a strong visitor list across multiple classes — including flip targets, commits, and emerging names.
🔥 Headliners & Surprises
Yahya Gaad (2026 EDGE) — Freshly decommitted from UCLA, making his first Tallahassee trip.
Damarius Yates (2026 RB, Ole Miss commit) — Former teammate of FSU freshman Mario Nash Jr.; his presence could signal renewed FSU interest.
EJ White (2026 WR commit) & Jonah Winston (2026 WR commit) — Both back in Tallahassee; Winston returns as his brother Jameis enters FSU’s Hall of Fame.
Jaylen Scott (2027 SAF, Auburn commit) — Once committed to FSU, he’s back on campus and says the Noles remain “a contributor” in his recruitment.
KJ Ford (2026 EDGE, Florida commit) — Recent UF pledge is hearing from FSU staff. Top-100 national prospect but hasn’t visited yet.
👀 Other Notables
Quarterbacks: 2026 Tyrieke Wade (Valdosta) plus a long list of 2027–29 prospects, headlined by Justin Murphy (2027) and Brycen Marbrey (2028).
Skill Talent: 2026 WRs Maliek Denmark, Prince Jean, Keydrick Powell, and several 2027–29 wideouts.
Trenches: 2027 OT Conner Rutherford (Chillicothe, OH) returns after last weekend; 2026 DL Broderick Peters and 2026 DE James Morrow Jr. among others.
Secondary: 2027 CB Chase Johnson and SAF Jernard Albright, plus 2027 Auburn commit Jaylen Scott and multiple underclass DBs.
📌 Why It Matters
This isn’t a “marquee” visit weekend compared to Miami in October, but FSU’s staff has turned it into a key chance to host priority flips, recent decommits, and younger talent. Keeping connections alive with names like Yates, Gaad, and Scott — while planting seeds with 2027–29 quarterbacks and skill players — shows FSU’s long-term recruiting strategy in action.
