Florida State's Mirabel Ting secured her second consecutive individual championship, tying her career-low with a final round of 67 at the rain-shortened Schooner Fall Classic.
Ting’s performance led FSU to a third-place team finish, while Lottie Woad tied for second with a school-record 65.
This marks Ting’s back-to-back individual victories, a feat only achieved twice before in school history.
Freshman Christina Surcey also impressed, carding a career-low 68 in the second round. FSU next competes in the Jackson T. Stephens Cup.

Redshirt junior Patrick Payton was named ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week after his standout performance in Florida State’s 14-9 win over Cal.
The Miami native set career highs with 3.0 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss, all in the second half, spearheading a defense that held Cal without a touchdown.
Payton’s efforts helped FSU achieve 7.0 sacks, just one shy of the season’s national single-game high.

The Florida State women’s basketball team will begin ACC play on December 8th, hosting SMU at the Donald L. Tucker Center.
This matchup marks the first-ever meeting between the Seminoles and Mustangs. Prior to that, FSU will face Tennessee on December 4th as part of the SEC/ACC Challenge.
FSU returns 75% of its scoring from last season, including stars Ta’Niya Latson, Makayla Timpson, and O’Mariah Gordon, and will kick off the season with an exhibition against Tampa on October 23rd.

Four-star edge rusher Chase Linton visited Florida State for the first time on Saturday, accompanied by his family.
Linton enjoyed the experience, speaking highly of the Seminoles' coaching staff and their defensive line’s technique during the Cal game.
Linton remains undecided but includes FSU, Georgia, LSU, and others in his top schools. He expressed interest in returning for an official visit and praised FSU’s energy and coaching approach.
Linton remains a coveted prospect with his athleticism and defensive prowess continuing to impress.

Florida State is looking to bolster its 2025 defensive line class, offering three-star defensive lineman Caleb Bell from Milton, Georgia. Bell, an Arkansas commit, has also attracted interest from Texas, NC State, and Mississippi State.
FSU’s defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins is leading the charge to bring Bell to Tallahassee.
Bell has posted strong senior season numbers, recording 30 tackles, 6 sacks, and 5.5 tackles for loss. He is the son of former NFL linebacker Kendrell Bell, the 2001 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Florida State will face No. 17 Clemson on October 5th at Doak Campbell Stadium, with the game set for 7 or 7:30 p.m. on either ESPN or ABC.
The exact time and network will be determined after this Saturday’s games. Before focusing on Clemson, FSU travels to face SMU on September 28th.
Clemson enters the matchup with a 2-1 record, coming off victories against Appalachian State and NC State. They’ll host Stanford this Saturday.
