Fresh off his decommitment from UCLA, 2026 three-star defensive end Yahya Gaad made his first trip to Tallahassee for FSU’s 66–10 win over Kent State — and left calling the experience “amazing.”
🔥 Visit Highlights
Spent extended time with DC Tony White and FSU’s defensive staff.
Got a postgame meeting with Mike Norvell, calling it “mutual respect.”
Loved the chance to “visualize myself being here” while watching the defense.
📊 Recruiting Snapshot
Ranked the No. 54 edge rusher nationally and No. 18 prospect in Tennessee (Rivals).
Other contenders: Wisconsin, Colorado, Washington, Auburn.
Wisconsin official visit already set, but Gaad says an FSU OV is in the works.
📌 Why It Matters
Gaad left saying FSU is “definitely near the top,” giving the Seminoles real momentum in his recruitment after a strong first impression.

2027 four-star defensive back T’ari Miller helped Miami Central rally from a 21–9 deficit to beat American Heritage 31–21 last Friday, showcasing the talent that has his recruitment heating up.
🔥 Recruitment Snapshot
Listed at 6’4, 180 pounds, Miller recently transferred from Homestead to Miami Central to sharpen his college readiness.
Top schools: Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, USC.
Said FSU and Georgia are “most consistent” in contact — daily calls, notes, and messages.
🗣️ Miller on FSU
“I’ve built a special bond with the coaches at Florida State. They call me every day. They send me stuff every day.”
🛡️ 4⭐ DB Jaylen Scott Reconsidering FSU After Visit 🛡️
BREAKING: 2027 4⭐️ safety Jaylen Scott has flipped his commitment from Florida State to #Auburn, per @Auburn247.
HUGE pickup for the Tigers in the secondary.

It’s been a whirlwind year for 2027 four-star DB Jaylen Scott — he committed to FSU in January, flipped to Auburn in the summer, and now could be reconsidering after a strong visit to Tallahassee this weekend.
🔥 What Stood Out
Impressed with Tony White’s schemes, noting the heavy use of 5-DB sets and opportunities for early playing time.
Praised FSU’s culture and facilities, saying it “felt like home” again.
Liked seeing freshmen contributing early, reinforcing his comfort with development and opportunity.
🗣️ Scott on FSU
“It’s a real culture. I see pride in everything they do. This felt like how it did the first time I was here. … The feeling is it’s pushed back up now. They are showing a different culture, and it’s the real deal.”
📌 Why It Matters
Scott isn’t at flip stage yet, but FSU’s momentum and his plan to return for the Miami showdown on Oct. 4 are strong signs. Auburn still holds his commitment, but the Noles have a real shot to make this one interesting down the stretch.
And that’s a wrap!
That’s it for today’s Chief Brief!
FSU’s momentum is building on every front — national spotlight showdowns, breakout stars, elite stat lines, and major recruiting movement. Friday at Virginia is the next test, but all eyes are already drifting toward that Oct. 4th clash with Miami under the lights at Doak.
Stay locked in, Noles fans — this ride is just getting started.
Go Noles,
